If you’re around Ponce and craving Puerto Rican food, Garavato’s Kwizin is a solid option. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a cocktail menu with a mix of classics and some creative options. I think they could definitely expand it with more inventive choices. I found the Sunset cocktail very tropical.
For starters, I recommend the Tablita, a sampler with wings, fried cheese, corn sorullos and chorizo. It’s perfect for sharing and kicks off the meal nicely.
I ordered the trifongo stuffed with grouper in creole sauce, it was okay, but not particularly memorable. Others at my table tried the grilled chicken breast, pork ribeye, salmon, and fried pork. Everything was tasty, just not outstanding. The staff was friendly and got all the orders right.
