Grayson's Port Angeles — Restaurant in Port Angeles

No stars if possible. This place was so Ioud and echo filled, it was difficult to hear the counter staff. I have recently had ear surgery, so hearing is already challenging at best. Stopped in thinking this would be a good place for lunch. My husband ordered. I tried to order the Children's cheeseburger and was told only 12 and under. So, I ordered a double burger minus 1 patty, all the vegetables and cheese, suggesting to the counter lady that was how my simplified order might be handled. She asked what I wanted to drink, I said a cream soda please and thank you. I then paid and tipped over 20%. We decided to take one of the 2 outdoor tables and waited for our food.

The cook or manager or owner? (Or all of the above?) came out asking if I was the one who ordered a plain hamburger. He said the counter lady did not like how I said "handle it" and to "just tone it down." Having on a mask, the street sounds going on around us, I sai 'okay' a few times, hoping to appease him. He then left. We waited quietly for our food, so the tone of my voice would not offend others. The tone of my voice is what I was born with. People do not control the voice they receive at birth.

When the food arrived, the guy dropped the order on the table, his hands visibly shaking, telling us he made it to go so we would leave, as he did now want us on the premises. Once my husband stood up, he backed away from us. We departed, promising never to darken his doorstep ever again.

We drove to the Safeway and threw away the food, not knowing if his hostility affected how the food was cooked or treated. It seemed like the safest idea. Maybe they don't like people from out of town, or maybe it was due to us wearing masks. It felt like this person just got more and more angry at us and me for only wanting food I would eat while not wasting ingredients. Sorry. Didn't mean to try and help...

I waited for 20 minutes for my order, only had a 30-minute lunch break, and had to leave before receiving my order. I guess this is not the place to go if you have 30 minute lunch. An expensive lesson!

Reply to Greyson's reply: I ordered a hamburger tomato and onion only with fries. I hardly consider this a "heavily modified" order. There were three people in front of me, not a "large party" as you publicly claim. Each of the three people were there 12-13 minutes total. I was counting the minutes because I was limited on time. Your cook, left the kitchen for 6 minutes after the people in front of me left with their order, as mine was next.

Sure, I felt upset having to leave without my lunch and return to work. I had no time left to communicate this issue with anyone because, I had no time left, or the luxury to lose my job over a hamburger. Admittedly, I said nothing to anyone as I left in a rush so I wouldn't be late and get fired from my job for being late, but I in no way "stormed out", as you said.

I have been very articulate in our private correspondence as I have been trying to resolve the issue with you before going public, but your replies were accusing and without concern. Now, you made up things publically that did not occur in our private correspondence and you continue to give a cold accusing lie...

Wow, this restaurant is a mixture cool and smooth.

Upon accidentally finding this place, I already knew I would love it. They have both unique and traditional food options. Their menu items vary from breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I promise you that each menu item will make you squeel with delight. The flavors and the price of the food is spot on and makes it both affordable and delicious for the person who is on a budget.

The interior is like a lounge and a restaurant. There a large sofa, a kids play kitchen, and regular dining tables. Eveything feels smooth, cool, and elegant. This is definitely a place where you and some friends/a date can sit and hangout for a few hours.

Parking is plentiful, even during busy rush hours there is still many parking options available even as the business shares the parking areas with other businesses in the shopping center.

This place is amazing! I am thrilled to have found it and surely going to visit everytime I roll through...
