Ala Carte After Hours — Restaurant in Port Clinton

my party of three came in and were seated and the waitress came to us and took our drink orders and we looked at the menus and decided it was a restaurant out of out price range and since our waitress hadnt brought our drinks so we left. We were sitting in our cars all but 2 minutes and a white man 40s-50s who i assume to be the main manager or owner came out to the patio and was waving at our car and asked if we came back so my mother got out and told him we simply couldn't afford the prices and he asked "well why order drinks then" and she explained that we ordered drinks before seeing the menu prices and asked again why did we order drinks then and she explained once again it was too expensive as well as the fact while we were walking out we noticed our waitress standing talk to coworkers while we waited almost 5 minutes for our drinks, he threw his hands up and walked inside. I would never stop at this establishment or the regular cafe again....

Took almost and hour for a “15 minute” spaghetti dinner order. When asked how much longer it would be, an employee stated “the spaghetti isn’t fully cooked yet.” On the night that they do spaghetti dinners, don’t really understand the logic there.

Also ordered 3 deserts for my family and I and they forgot them. Then when I went back in to get said deserts, they put them in a grocery bag sideways and upside down. Smearing the contents all over the inside of the boxes they were in, and making it look even less appetizing than the dry main course(the spaghetti).

Won’t be coming back, don’t recommend any new residents or vacationers...

In the Port Clinton Area looking for a quick bite and the Ala Carte After Hours sounded like a great place to try and they sure didn’t disappoint!! Kathleen was quick to catch our eye when we walked in and made us feel welcome, quickly got our food but we weren’t rushed as she gave us time to make our choices. The Bacon Mushroom and Swiss Burger was delicious and the fries were awesome too. Pickle Fries were fabulous and plentiful. The Southwest Salad was delightful, filling and the chicken was hot on top just the way we like it!! We would definitely recommend that you try this-the food...
