I worked here for a little over a year, I loved my coworkers, they were ultimately the reason I wanted to stay when I started thinking about leaving. The owner on the other hand is ridiculous, he’s going thru is own personal short comings and since he lives above the bar he comes ‘home’ and takes out his bad days on his employees. He sits at the bar and drinks to nitpick at our work,(gets his own drinks so that way he doesn’t have to tip you but still takes up your bar) he will not allow you to park in the back parking even though in the time I have worked at Lynch’s there have been multiple violent situations(more than one including guns) at the bar next door that empties into the public parking and tailgates, that being said he won’t allow you to park next to the building but also won’t arrange for security even with a full female staff closing on their own. You will not get appreciated by the owner, you will watch many employees come and go, right before I started a whole kitchen staff walked out; currently two have been fired, 5 have quit, and 3 have their notice in on the mater of the last month. He likes to take the schedule down and tell our manager to change it but not give notice of the changes. No amount of special drinks you come up with, no amount of upselling, no amount of work ethic will keep you on his side if you aren’t kissing the ground he walks on and telling him what he wants to hear. He is a misogynistic, egotistical, prideful, controlling boss. He will have rules but he won’t bring them to attention till when he wants to and to whom he wants to. If you are a man, that can agree with everything he says and all opinions then this definitely is the...
Read moreWent as a group for a friends birthday. We ordered a bunch of appetizers (jalapeño poppers, Irish nachos and the Ruben dip) they were all very good. Ended up ordering more jalapeño poppers. I ordered the Guinness burger and my wife order the shrimp dish. My burger was supposed to be 1/2 pound but there was no way its was a 1/2 pound patty, it's was also clearly a generic frozen patty. The waitress asked me how I wanted it cooked, I asked for medium. When I got it was way over cooked and dry. I only ate half of it. Another one of our group also got a burger and theirs was also WAY over cooked like mine. My wife's shrimp were also way over cooked and dry. She could even eat it and gave it to someone else at the table. Later what seemed to have been the manager came by to ask how everything was and was totally caught off guard when we gave a 'meh' answer. Just stood there awkwardly, he offered to fix any of our dishes but none of us wanted the food replaced as we didn't want to sit around and wait to have it replaced and we were done eating. Never offered to comp anything. The place looked nice on the inside and the menu sounded good but is evident that it's all just frozen food service items reheated when you ordered it. First and last time...
Read moreHorrible experience. I am an out of town visitor. Walked in, hostess said that they didn't expect a Saturday night crowd on a Thursday...the day after Christmas! Took forever for a waiter to stop by for drink order, served appetizers with no plates, did not come back to refill drinks or see if we wanted more drinks from the bar. It took 42 minutes for the food to arrive. Two meals, the Guinness burgers, came incomplete and open-faced (the server brought the rest for us to finish them ourselves, but only after the burger started to get cold). The rib-eye was over cooked and inedible to my niece who ordered it, when she addressed this with the server and explained that we had waited long enough so she was not interested in having another made, the server went to the "manager" (whom we never saw) and came back with an insulting 10% discount on a meal she did not eat (okay, two bites). She paid a $28 bill for 2 bites and two beers!!
Will never go back because sure, it was unexpectedly busy, though why you wouldn't expect a weekend crowd on a holiday evening when families are together seems nonsensical, but had they comped her bill only, I'd've been satisfied. Poor food, poor service, badly run business....
