We were craving some Mexican treats and we were so excited to find a Mexican bakery near by. We went later in the day which meant there would be less to choose from but that wasn’t a problem because there still was a good variety to pick from. We got a little too excited and grabbed about $20 worth of baked goods but you better believe we ate it all. The staff were friendly folks and gave us a couple business cards. The best part? Everything we bought was awesome! I also liked that when you walk in, like most Mexican bakeries, they have trays and tongs for you to grab your treats with. Read moregrandmother had a craving for donuts so i searched online for the nearest one and meant to go to reyes, but accidentally stumbled across this place!! needless to say though, grampat was PLEASED. she ate literally 6 pastries on the way back to south padre and could not stop herself!! she said it was the highlight of her entire trip! not exactly sure, but i believe it’s called the bavarian cream donut that easily topped all the rest. it was so so good. we strolled in there around 9pm but there was still a great selection a warm welcome. it is a 100% mexican family-run business so the pastries are authentic and delicioso! the people there were super kind and helped pick the pastries out....
Read moreDelicious bakery! Many things were hot and fresh out of the oven even though I arrived late (10am). There was a huge selection. My 3 year old really enjoyed the sprinkle cookies and cake. I enjoyed the sweet bread. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The prices were VERY reasonable. I left with 2 bags heaping with baked goods and only spend $12. I will definitely be back. The baked good are SO SO SO much better than anything you will find on SPI....
