I went in to buy a surf rod and all that I needed to fish from the beach, I intended to spend $500 to $700 in gear, I told the kid that I knew nothing about surf fishing but was experienced fly fishing in Colorado. He helped me pick out a 9' rod and 20lb braded line to put on the rod. I also picked out some weights, hooks, rod holders and swivels, I continued to shop and put stuff on the counter. The kid asked that I pay before finishing shopping. He said that is the way he does it. I explained that I had more to purchase and would pay him when I was finished shopping. He insisted that I pay and that I could continue to shop and they would just ring me up again for another transaction after I paid. I paid him and told him I guess we are done because I didn't want to do a second transaction. He ran my credit card and finalized the transaction. I left and went to Walmart and purchased another $350 in fishing gear from Walmart. Im not sure why he did not want me to purchase from them??
