Michelle made the whole experience great! From the moment she picked up the phone she was polite and outgoing. When we went inside there was karaoke and the person singing was SO GOOD we didn’t even notice haha. I’m not a seafood girly and neither are the kids. We ordered two burgers a cheese and bacon with pickles burger for the kids to split (Michele offered to cut the burger without me even having to ask! I love when people anticipate what you need). My husband LOVES seafood, he ordered the fish and shrimp basket. He said it was so good he bets it’s fresh caught. Seems to be a hangout for the locals. They do have some good food specials there on certain days, but may have to order at the bar if they don't have enough help. Drinks are just ok, made weak in my opinion and I wasn't impressed with their margaritas at all. Cops were in one night when we were there trying to arrest a patron while we were trying to eat dinner and were bumping into our table. It's a decent little "Dive". The 4 pool tables and the jukebox are nice. This place could use new management...preferably someone with Marketing experience and a goal to increase the overall revenue. There's a tremendous amount of potential, with a decent core, and a foundation of loyal patrons. Additionally, this establishment's location would make even the most novice of owners truly grateful for one of the most prime locations possible in Port Isabel.
