Okay, so the family and I decided to try the new place in town and even though the food was amazing, they need some customer service awareness and a class on new business community introduction.
Upon walking in on a Tuesday, the first impression is good, a smiling hostess and a clean store. We were greeted quickly with a drink order and told that she would answer any questions we may have about the menu.
My wife ordered the Bourbon Street pancakes, my daughter the Chicken and waffles with the spicy honey maple syrup on the side and I always try a Traditional Eggs Benedict at every new breakfast concept despite seeing a half dozen items that I want to try (the menu is magnificent)
My wife picks up her drink and a chunk of glass falls from the bottom of the glass the size about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide and very sharp, she can feel the crack with her straw on the inside of the glass. Hey, things happen, clearly the glass got banged, the hot water from the dish machine loosened a chunk and the the cold condensation caused it to fall off. Situational anomoly. I see the server take the glass to a manager, he glances in our direction and takes the glass to the back.
Our food arrives, except our 13 year old daughter's, they messed it up and are recooking it, her food arrives 8 minutes later, I'm almost done, my wife already can't eat anymore despite hers being amazing and I've been dealing with a hormonally challenged 13 year old sulking and whining for 8 minutes.
I see an Area/Regional Manager sitting two tables over on his laptop that's dressed differently than the other Managers I see walking around and occasionally interacting with him. They pass our table a dozen times, never once stopping to apologize for the issues even though they were not busy at all (about five tables) They had more servers than sat tables.
I did not see and of the 3 managers ever interact with any customers at all, I couldn't even get one to make eye contact.
When you come to a new community, first impression is crucial in introducing yourself to your future customers, word of mouth and social media reviews can make you soar or nosedive in those first several months.
My summary:
The food is incredible and a very diverse and unique menu that you will not see anywhere else.
The staff appear to be very friendly, well trained and eager to help you.
The Management team doesn't see you, you are an invisible dollar sign to them, you should be privileged that they have allowed you into their restaurant to dine on their superior delicacies and if you are lucky then that may allow you to return, they have no interest in interacting with the lowly peasants of this community and will rely on an amazing product to keep you coming back despite any issues that you may endure.
I will return, if they permit me to after this review because I absolutely love unique and amazing food, I just think I will ignore the Managers now that they have established my expectations of...
Read moreI decided to give another broken egg cafe a try today , something different.
Walking into the restaurant visibly short staffed but EMPTY , I decided to give it a go.
Took approximately 10 minutes before I was acknowledged , once acknowledged , I was given a finger motion , I decided to sit myself at the bar.
Once at the bar , myself and another Caucasian lady , the waitress didn’t acknowledge me for approximately 5 minutes and then another 5 minutes went by until I decided to flag her for her attention , however she continued to serve the other guest at the end of the bar and made drinks.
I was then provided a glass of water.
Another 5-7 mins went by and the waitress went back and forth serving tables and managing the bar.
Finally she came back and I flag her attention once again and she took my order.
It took 40 minutes at minimum before I decided to voice my concerns and leave , I requested a manager.
The waitress then comes out and sits my plate on the counter while I am standing and stated “You can have breakfast now if you’d like”. I’m sorry?
The manager arrives , very unapologetic and showing NO CONCERNS for the inconvenience and diabolical wait times , states we are short staffed and we are busy.
I immediately corrected her and stated Mam , you and I both made eye contact when I walked in her earlier , this place was empty! That is No excuse. She stated , you are aware orders go in by tickets , I acknowledged and stated correct - Half of these persons came in after myself and got to order due to the fact I wasn’t attended too! She then offered me to have the breakfast which I politely declined.
I am disappointed I wasted my entire morning , for simple eggs and a muffin that took 40+ minutes not inclusive of the wait times to take my order.
I hope the owners of this establishment take this review and address their concerns with their staff and leadership team or I am sure you will continue to...
Read moreMy family and I dined in on 5/14, Mothers Day! It was mothers Day and we expected it to be very busy that morning. I tried to join the waitlist while driving there but you can not join the wait list until you arrive if it is a party of 6 or more. No biggie, we arrived, I checked in, put our name on the list at 9:25 for inside, the hostess stated an hour-hour 15 minutes, we were okay with the wait. At about 10:00ish, I asked the hostess how many folks in front of us, she stated 9, no worries. At 10:45 we still had not been called, by this point the entire party was getting hungry. I walked up she stated (hostess) your next on the list, another female walked up and she says, I’m getting your table ready outside, I said we asked for inside please, she says OH, well that’s going to be another 30 minutes. She stated no empty tables..At that point, I looked around the restaurant with multiple tables empty, an 8 top (Hightop)was getting up from the bar, and just as a server walked by and said my entire section is empty in the back. She looked around, looked at me and stated, we will text you when your table is ready and started to walk away. (I said you have multiple tables and this 8 top is leaving can we sit there)NO! I stayed put and at that moment, my 8 month pregnant daughter walked in asking, “mom, how long, we are all starving” We stood there for about 10 more minutes as the one lady (which I was told was the manager on duty) fumbled around on her phone and seemed to care less. The other hostess finally said, ma’am your table is ready, if it was not for this young hostess getting our table ready, knowing we had been waiting a very long time, we would have waited 2 hours. Mind you a party of 5 that showed up after us was sat, ate and left before we ever got to sit down. The rudeness from the manager that morning was astounding. Not very good for building your clientele. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, mimosas, chicken&waffles and our waitress...
