Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Port Orange

Ordered delivery for our anniversary on Halloween My husband got the Ribeye with mashed potatoes and rice. I got the steak fajitas which were also great. Sadly they forgot the cheese,pico and sour cream and we thought they forgot the tortilla strips and cheese for another item the chili but when we called and spoke to a very nice woman in the Togo area she said she had prepared them herself and it was already on the chili and that they could give me a gift card for the forgotten fajita accompaniment for $2 I wasn’t really that worried about it honest mistake and ok I found some in the fridge so no big deal. We also got the chips and dip trio and that was great. Large portion of chips for the amount of dip. The reason for the 3 stars is the Chili. Hands down the absolute worst chili we have ever had in our life. My husband threw it out after one bite while I attempted to give it a chance thinking maybe it had to do with the flavors or the other food throwing it off. Nope. It had a super and I mean SUPER salty burnt taste and even my husband noted it looked really dark which I figured may have been from whatever spices they used. They also put the tortilla strips and cheese on at the restaurant before delivery so the strips are super soggy and non edible. For a little over $8 a cup the amount you get is very small as well. But I can get over that it was the taste that was just horrific. Hopefully it was just an off night but I needed to say something. We have always enjoyed the food here but please check you items before you leave if you order Togo. Sometimes things are forgotten if they are busy. Last time we ordered back in September they forgot to add our side of potatoes but we enjoyed the other food we got and didn’t really want to drive again to...

Friday evening at 8:45, there were only 4-5 servers and the restaurant was about 1/3 full...the wait was 15-20 minutes for a table!

As we were led to our table we walked passed multiple un-bussed tables and the table we were given had not been wiped down. We stayed, because it was pushing 9 o’clock and we were concerned about being seated at a nearby restaurant. Our server was friendly, however was moving in extremely slow motion. No one else in the place seems to be in any kind of a hurry either. The food was extremely substandard from what you would expect at a chilies. He (the server) was not attentive in regard to making sure that we had everything we need, refilling drinks, or even asking if our food was all right. There was no sign of management in sight the entire time we were there. We are not normally chain restaurant patrons, however we do go to certain ones when we just want a sure thing. This was definitely not that expectation. There didn’t seem to be a happy patron in the entire restaurant. They were all complaining about some thing. We sent the same order of french fries back twice because they were cold and hollow on the inside. The chips that came with our order of chips and salsa were so oily that you could hold it up and watch the oil moving on it. The hamburger was ridiculous. It was not put together well at all and the top bun was burnt on the top visibly. Terrible experience. So sad, because we used to...

If I could give zero stars, I would. We went last night for dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty. When we walked in, two employees (one of which was a member of management) turned and walked away. They went over to a table of people they knew to sit and chit chat. They kept looking up at us and then would go back to talking. We waited for awhile at the hostess podium before someone finally came to seat us. We were seated at the table behind where the two employees were sitting and talking to their friends. Again, we wait...and wait...and wait. All we ordered were two appetizers to eat. After ordering, our server never returned to our table. She walked by a few times and ignored us. She also would go to the table behind where the member of management was at and talk with the people at the table. We also never received drink refills. The food was terrible. We ordered boneless wings and cheese fries. The wings were room temperature and tasted awful. The fries were also room temperature and tasted as though they had been sitting out for awhile. The cheese was hard and burned. Chili's used to be good. It's been going downhill for awhile, but at this point McDonald's would be a better choice. Chili's is now below Denny's which is bad.
