I had my first visit to Del Taco; we happened to be in Port Orange, FL and it was close to where we were doing some business. I wish I had backtracked a couple of miles and gone to Taco Bell. From what I could see, there were 3 girls working and I was the only person in the drive-thru and there were no customers sitting inside. Even after telling one of them at the speaker that this was my first visit to a Del Taco, she just wasn't very informative. When I got to the window, still the ONLY customer onsite, all three girls were huddled in one area. I paid $32 for a very sloppy presentation of my food. I understand the food is bagged, but both of my bean and cheese burritos were not even wrapped all the way! The nachos looked like everything was just thrown on and not even in the middle, but all to one side. I may have understood this carelessness if the place was packed, but it was not. Now for the food...I will stick with Taco Bell. The bean and cheese burrito was dry. The Nachos were mostly uncovered, but because of the heat from the steak, they were soggy. My husband took one look at his burrito and threw it away. Sorry, I did give it a try...but maybe the employees should try a little harder. We didn't want to work on a Sunday either...but it's our job and we do it well, otherwise we will not be recommended to others. I certainly will not be recommending Del Taco to anyone. I WISH I had...
Read moreI visited Del Taco with 4 teenagers and 2 adults. My group wasn’t sure what to order, but the cashier was super helpful. They guided us to get a mix of boxes, hamburgers, and a few other items, and even helped us save some money. Big plus there!
We mentioned that one of us had a dairy allergy, and the cashier went above and beyond to make sure there was no cross-contamination. That level of care really stood out and was appreciated.
Now, for the food. It wasn’t what we expected, and unfortunately, not in a good way. While it was served hot, the quality and taste left a lot to be desired. The bean and beef burrito was incredibly flimsy—almost like it was just thrown in as filler for the boxes. Definitely not satisfying. On the bright side, the hot sauce was actually spicy, which we enjoyed. No watered-down "gringo" sauce here.
One downside to the dining experience: there was a homeless man sleeping in the dining area. He had a drink cup, but it didn’t feel appropriate for him to be sleeping there while others were eating.
Overall, I don’t think I’d eat here again. If I had to choose between Taco Bell and Del Taco, I’d (reluctantly) pick Taco Bell—it’s the lesser of two evils...
Read moreFirst, it is Del Taco!! 💃 and it was closer to our house (we live in Jax) than Melbourne or Orlando!! So that was exciting. I was disappointed at the service, the people were VERY kind, but the kitchen had no flow. I’m not sure where the break down is, but it seemed to be full of people but the orders were taking forever. Our order took about 30 minutes 😯 which is crazy with what we ordered. So as a business owner myself, I have a lot of empathy for sorting out the kinks, but this should be sorted by day 2 of operation. Two people got fed up and made a scene and then left. We were excited for Del Taco so we waited. Food wise it was disappointing that your menu didn’t have the Spicy Grilled Chicken Burrito- why do not all the locations have it? We got over that but my quesadilla had to have been sitting out while our order was taking forever because the cheese was all firm and no longer melted. The saving grace was that the soft chicken tacos were nicely stuffed and yummy as always. Thank you for being our evening meal 🙏 I pray your store hits its groove on the...
