Read moreOur reviews had over 48 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really loved Hanwoo. All you can eat places can be rough, but Hanwoo is super good. Better than any steakhouse we have been too. You can order the $27 meal or the $37 meal. We got the $37 because it had better cuts of meat and more side dishes. Started out with Kimchi, Gyoza (dumplings that are soo good), Koren corn dog (I know it sounds odd but really good), Spice Cucumber (not that spicy but yummy) and Koren shrimp sushi. All of it was divine. For meats we started with a filet (very large and super yummy), Sea Bass (very good and comes in a dish with butter and seasonings it it so easy to cook), Hangar steak (this was Maria's favorite) and Teriyaki Chicken (OMG good). Then we had Ribeye Marinated (Bulgogi) which was my fav, very sweet but Oh so yummy. Had some spicy chicken too (not really spicy) but we were too full to eat it. Stephan was our waiter and he helped us pick out what to get. The entire table must make the same choice of dinners so we recommend the $37 meal. BE SURE TO ASK FOR ALL OF THE SAUCES - THEY HAVE A BUNCH OF THEM. SPICY IS NOT REALLY THAT SPICY SO ASK FOR ALL SPICY ONES TOO. you can cook the food yourself on the gas grill in front of you or Stephan will cook it for you. We did it both ways but cooking ourselves was more fun but Stephan was nice enough to tell us not to over cook the food. for dessert they give you a popsicle but it is a very creamy ice cream on a stick. We think the flavor is what we would call "honeydew melon". It was so good we got 2 each. Like all the food, you are welcome to have as much as you want. We LOVED this place and will be back often. I am dying to try the GATOR and the Lamb and Short ribs next visit and a lot of the other side dishes. This is now our top 3 places to eat in Florida!!! It is really that good!!! Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. Read morePort Orange finally has a KBBQ at Hanwoo in the old Mellow Mushroom. They’re still in a bit of a soft opening phase but let me tell you that did not reflect in the service which was spot on. The only tell is that they were out of some items - corn dog, chicken wings, marinated roast beef, bean sprouts. Hopefully they’ll work out sourcing issues soon.
I eat a lot of KBBQ down in Orlando and this is a great entry level place if you’ve never tried it before. The seasoning is toned down so nothings overly spicy or strongly flavored. There are plenty of “recognizable” meat options and things like butter garlic shrimp and chicken teriyaki for less adventurous eaters.
I guess my point is it’s good, but it’s safe good. I’ll give them huge props for absolutely tender and flavorful lamb and gator - two meats I’ve never seen at a KBBQ before. But the kimchi and gochujang were mild. Chopsticks and dipping sauces are upon request. While the banchan are unlimited they come in tiny single-serve dishes which says to me they're afraid of waste because people might not like them (the table behind us was adamantly against even trying kimchi).
I do hope they'll embrace the K of KBBQ a bit more as time goes on but I'll definitely be back because it was all quality ingredients and great staff. Also I absolutely adore the cow serving boards!
Update (2/1/25): still great quality meats, got to try the chicken wings and they were good and crunchy but sauce was mildly spicy mayo so I had to doctor it up. Upon request you can get ssamjang, gochujang, sesame oil, crushed garlic and S&P which help jazz up the unseasoned cuts. Still out of corn dogs, banchan still tiny but they will refill for free as often as you want. I’d love to see them offer other dishes like bibimbap or japchae but for now it’s a solid option when I don’t want to...
