Waffle House — Restaurant in Port Orange

PORT ORANGE LOCATION OFF OF NOVA My fiancé, my in laws and I went there before heading out for a fun filled day and our morning there couldn’t have been any worse. I do want to recognize the manager coach jr. and the wonderful waitress Alexis we got switched too for doing everything they could to make our experience better which they did help a lot. But the waitress Susan is very unprofessional which is whom we sat down to be served by at first. There was a very upset and irate guest who as well was dealing with Susan because she wanted to rush her order as well as stating she was in a rush and then messed up the lady’s order tremendously. So because they were yelling back and forth we then asked to be moved to a different table because they we inches away from us. As we moved into a booth another guest who was about to seat themselves became upset because they thought we just got up and moved by our selfs when in all actuality we were placed there by the manager Coach jr. and our new waitress Alexis. But to fuel the fire for the guest Susan then states I don’t know why they just got up and sat there as if it was all on our doing. Susan then at the end cashed us out with an attitude and then when we waited for a receipt she persisted with the nasty tone of asking did we even need a receipt. As well as SUSAN SHORTED MY MOTHER IN LAW $4. As she handed the change to my mother in law she said $5.40 was the change and great thing we got the receipt because looking at the change she only gave us $1.40. What was she trying to do pocket the other $4?!?! Susan is just terrible for a great guest experience! being a new resident in the city of port orange love going to this Waffle House for late night foodies I love the night shift everyone is very nice and respectful well the day after Christmas me and a few family members that were visiting in from outta town decided to catch some brunch before everyone headed home for the holidays we’ll first I’ll say restaurant has always been clean, our server Allura I believe is how you spell her name she seem very fustrated when it came down to servicing me and my family order was mixed up she had an attitude when serving the food to the table just all around terrible experience we over heard her talking about us to another employee ( older lady) so bad that the lady had to tell her “ these are our guest “ nobody in my party was rude to allura or disrespectful or no attitude it’s the day after beautiful Christmas .. well soon after we started eating and another party sat and she told them “ I’m just tired and ready to go home “ I can understand that a job does get tiring aggravating and annoying but that shouldn’t reflect on your customer service skills definitely will only be serviced during the evening and night times idk if it because we was black women but very...

We went in for a late night snack on Friday night 10/25 The place was packed but we got greeted right away with a smile we were told it would be a minute before we could get our order taken. We waited about 5 min and our Togo order was taken by kaela which by the way she’s awesome!!! I didn’t get the other servers name but she was working so hard trying to help the cook keep up with all the orders I truly understand busy but when I tell you we almost waited an hour for our food it’s true the cook was named Jackie I asked! Because she was only working on one grill when there is obviously two grills and she was clearly aggravated and drowning my food looked terrible my waffles were up 15 min before my food her line was a disgusting mess she was standing in pounds of hashbrowns poor Kaela and the other server were trying to wait on all the guests and help her cook to overall the experience was terrible I gave the service part a 4 because the servers were so helpful and patient I would have lost my mind working with that chaos (Do better get a cook who can do...
