Highly Recommend especially if you are looking for a place to go to watch football (or any sporting event), eat, and drink. My husband and I are Cleveland Browns fans that vacation every year to Daytona in September. We have usually hung out with the Browns Backers but this year wanted to try a new place to watch the Browns since we are not huge Bdubs fans. Glad we did as we enjoyed our whole experience at The Half Wall! We sat at the Bar and our bartender was top-notch and attentive. They had drink specials on Sundays so I went with the $5 mimosas (which are good size and had a good helping of champagne-perfectly made 😁). My husband had their Budlight Bucket that included 5 12oz bottle & 6th one free). Their menu had great variety, which even included some options for those that side a little more on the health concious side but still want to drink and watch football. My husband had the Fried Pickle Burger w/fries & Fried Beer Battered Cheese Curds and I had the California Turkey Wrap with coleslaw. We enjoyed both meals! We saw someone ordered their pretzel appetizer that looked big & delicious and will try in future! The atmosphere was great! Lots of different NFL fans were there watching their teams. Their were 25+ tvs along the walls around the whole perimeter and well-placed so you could keep tabs on the other games going on. This will definitely be a go-to place for us to watch our Browns and Buckeyes while on vacation...
Read moreWe had a bad experience. We had a new waiter and he really tried, but he wasn't very good - had that been the only issue we would've been happy and had no complaints. But, in addition to that, the cocktails we had were not good, the beers were fine, but I had a cucumber smash that tasted like moldy cucumber and then ordered a Bacardi diet that was very, very weak and tasted like a diet cola. We all ordered different meals and 5 of the six were either made incorrectly or wrong. Four of us ordered salads, which didn't come out until after our dinners were delivered. I ordered a wrap that was supposed to have an avocado aioli, but didn't and was very dry and bland. My husband had an ahi tuna melt that was overcooked. One friend ordered a meatloaf sandwich and received (and paid for) a meatloaf dinner. Another friend ordered a ham and Swiss that was supposed to come with a side of Chipotle ranch that we didn't get until we asked for it. Another ordered the fish and chips and only got one piece of fish (which was good, at least). It was all just so very disappointing. We...
Read moreNo complaints. An excellent sports bar. An unbelievable number of tv's. A big game was on, so it was somewhat lively, but not overly so.
Food was "upscale" for a sports bar. The Greek salad was enough to split. The fried green tomatoes were ok. Philly was good, with good steak, cheese, peppers and onions. Fries are also good.
I had one of the beer flights. It was a good sampling with fairly large glasses (4 or 6 oz.). The beers are good - the first place I've found a Porter around here. I liked it.
The service was very good, prompt and friendly. The place is big, so no wait even with a Sunday playoff game on tv.
The menu was interesting. Gotta have burgers - and there were some imaginative burgers!
Ribs with a beer barbeque sauce looked good. Jambalaya, bourbon salmon, coffee crusted sirloin, and others looked good. We didn't try any of those. Maybe next time and these could make it really upscale.
All-in-all, it was a pleasant dinner...
