We stopped here for a quick bite on our way home from a reunion. It wasn’t quick; we spent two hours here, but that’s on us. We were having a great time and didn’t even notice the time going by, honestly.
The food was awesome. I ate the Shrimp Tom Yum Raman (hot) and it was awesome. Very filling, very tasty, and cooked well. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals and my very picky toddlers each ate 6 “dumplings” (pork gyoza) and some steamed noodles.
The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Funny signs in the bathroom made their point while also making laugh. Someone brought their stroller in and that made it a tight squeeze past the other tables (think hallway style with tables against one wall). It’s definitely not big enough for that, so if you bring in your stroller, at least move it out of the isle when people walk by. 😅
There were 6 of us (two toddlers) and we spent $137 before tip, which is not unusual for us. To put it into perspective, we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and that was almost $60 for a drive through… There was also a sign on the wall that said 6 or more people and the tip would automatically be included, but that wasn’t the case when we got the check. I’m glad I double checked the math or else I wouldn’t have tipped. Over all, it was $165 after a 20% tip, which was more than I was anticipating, but not outrageously so.
Overall, we’re likely to go back when...
Read moreVery disappointing! I ordered drunken noodles w/chicken and teriyaki chicken, both with extra sauce. When I got it home, the Teriyaki Chicken looked nothing like the picture on their website and was basically just watered down Teriyaki sauce. Additionally the chicken was tough and I could hardly cut it with a knife. After calling they offered to fix it, if I brought it back. So, I made a trip back to the restaurant to get the dish fixed. When I arrived the woman behind the counter said the chicken teriyaki was “Thai” style and if I wanted the the “Chinese” restaurant style (for a Japanese dish) there are a number of Chinese food places I should got to. Why they have Chicken Teriyaki on the menu is a mystery to me. When they were returning my money they giving me a hard time about not bring the rice back too! The drunken noodles were OK, but little chicken was tough and the flavor was nominal. For a first and only experience at a restaurant, this was a real disappointment and I certainly won’t...
Read moreQuiet little restaurant located in a busy area, plenty of parking and easily accessible. I’ve been to Yummy Rice about 8 times so far and it’s my “go-to” for Thai style coconut curries. Balanced flavor profile and quality cuts of proteins, veggies are fresh and crispy, sauces are complex yet simple and clean, leaves your palate in a beautiful place. The wings are spectacular, idk what they do with them but we get 2 orders at a time due to their unique flavor and cripsy skin, the meat is tender and flavorful with notes of ginger, the sweet Thai chili sauce makes it tangy jet playfully sweet..they’re done just right.. The pineapple curry is really authentic, has a beautiful kick of heat, the coconut brings out the the rich and creamy flavor and speaks well with this dish. Yummy Rice “Don’t play” they are a jewel in the rough and a delight to experience. 9/10 a...
