Wendy's — Restaurant in Port Orchard

The newly remodeled Wendy's is terrible! I think taking away the bars at the ordering counter was a big mistake. Customer's didn't know where to stand awaiting or placing an order. The removal of the booths was disappointing as we always liked sitting in one. All the tables in this newly designed restaurant were placed in awkward and uncomfortable arrangements. It just did not offer the "comfort" the previous design did. While they wasted so much money on an ill-thought redesign, why wasn't a more user friendly door installed? My husband and are "disabled" and find the entry/exit doors to be extremely HEAVY and difficult to open. Getting a wheelchair IN one door is bad enough, but then there is yet another one to figure how to deal with. Another issue that should be addressed, it appeared as though the "behind the counter" staff was just running around like a bunch of busy ants accomplishing nothing. They all, for the most part , didn't seem to know what they were suppose to be doing! This was a very displeasing eating experience. Unfortunately, after many years of enjoying Wendy's I, for one, find that I will not chose Wendy's again. Incidentally, the special $1.00 chicken sandwich offered was really terrible. The in house marquee did not indicate that the sandwich had some kind of "hot" sauce on it, nor did the counter person share that information with us. (I suppose we made a mistake by not asking). The hamburgers are always sloppily made, falling off the bun and by the time you get home with the burger, the bun is all soggy. Ýou can't go in to eat because of Covid, and that also means no public restrooms. Also, the fries are awful. It's like they don't change the grease or something. The other night I ordered fries and s when I reached in the bag to get a hot fry, they were deathly cold... not even warm. I called to talk to an employee, and there was no answer, just a machine after lengthy ringing that wouldn't allow me to even leave a message. So, I drove back and when I got there, a long line was out of the patting lot. I had to wait for over 20 minutes to get through the line. I was polite and told them my problem, and they happily replaced my fries with warm ones that tasted like old grease. Then, by the time I got home, of course, my burger's bun was completely soggy. I didn't even eat the burger and fries. There is one good thing about Wendy's and that is the freestyle Coca-Cola Gouna drinks. I was happy with that. So, I hate going to Wendy's and these are the reasons why. The only reason I went this day was to satisfy my mother's want for a burger there. I won't return again to eat, but I'll probably go back because of the fountain drinks and the concern of this...

This Wendy’s location is usually good and has accommodated my request in the past. Last night was not the case and possibly ruined this location for me. The lady at the register at around 9pm (Aiyana) was a disaster and should be fired for lack of knowledge of product and disrespect. Upon ordering our burgers the lady that was at the register asked us if that’s what we really wanted in a disrespectful way. (Simple request for no bun on a Dave’s double.) Then continued to put an order in for what she thought would be sufficient in place of what we actually ordered. My husband ordered a salad as well and it wasn’t on the order. We noticed when we went to pay. When we asked about it the lady acted like she didn’t know what we were talking about and just replied with “what are you asking me” and when we told her she simple said “oh.” She also stated “what are you going to do, make your own food?” She was completely disrespectful.
