Smaller restaurant with great view of the marina if you get an outdoor table. Service was great and staff friendly and helpful. Three people in our group had the 244 burger and really enjoy it saying it was very good. However if their reaction to the fries is any indication it’s well worth swapping the kettle chips for fries as your side - at least all of the “Wow these fries are great” comments lead me to believe this. Also gaging from reactions, sounds and comments while eating, those that had the fish and shrimp tacos were the most pleased. The pickiest eater in our group got the pulled pork sandwich and another added a fish taco to his order so she could have that as well. She really liked the pulled pork, but enjoyed the shrimp taco so much that she ordered two more. My fiancé had the fish tacos and said that other than being slightly undercooked, he said that they were very flavorful and would order them again if we go back to the area. Unfortunately my entree was not a winner. I ordered the fish and grits with Mahi. When it arrived, it was grouper that was so undercooked it was still translucent inside. The server offered to get me a new dish. The next plate was again grouper and again undercooked. BUT THE GRITS!! I may I’ve in Ohio but I am a Georgia girl and I KNOW my grits. Let me tell you - those grits were excellent! Perfect amount of butter and cheese. Perfect creamy texture. The grits were so good, I was not even disappointed that I didn’t get the Mahi. The manager offered to make me another plate, but by the I had filled up on grits so they removed that entree from our bill.
Oh and on that note - PLEASE remember when a manager removes anything from your bill that you still had the same level of service. If the order is correct (or corrected) and the food was not to your satisfaction - and the server did his/her job well - TIP ON THE ORIGINAL TOTAL! Don’t tip on the...
Read moreOur waitress, FANTASTIC!! We wish we got her name. Wish we gave her another $100 in cash tip apart from the paper receipt. Unfortunately. The bartender needs to get the stick pulled from her front sack, she was telling customers there were drink limits, she was rude when there was mess up on receipt upon leaving. She was telling her staff they cannot have fun while serving….. yep, don’t smile, don’t laugh, don’t joke along with your customers. Just do your job as if a zombie. Our poor waitress already had four jobs and we are terrified last night was going to cost her the one because of the BARTENDER (and maybe manager) it also seems if you’re not a regular you are treated all too differently. We were still being charged for things that we never got ordered because the machine broke or it got burned. We got charged an extra drink. When taking it up to fix, bartender said “your table is here.” In a horrible manner, another waitress cracked up laughing. The sweet, kind waitress who we had looked like she wanted to cry!!! I don’t know who owns or runs this place. But shame on you. Also, for how much food you get, the way nothing seems to work in the kitchen or gets burnt… your prices. Way too high. For FIVE adults, $300 something, even after fixing the receipt still near $300!!!
We have a four star reviewer friend who is already in the works of visiting soon.. good luck!!!
Save your money. At least if you’re a tourist or...
Read moreThis is small restaurant by the Port Royal bridge. If you sit outside you'll have a beautiful view of the water. I ordered a passion fruit mimosa and they didn't have any passion fruit. So then I ordered a drink called Mudda Mango, because the waiter said it was good and sweet. And the drink was not sweet at all. The drink was bitter, and it didn't taste good. I couldn't even finish it. Then I ordered the small fry, and it came with shrimp, fries, and a very small flounder. The tarter sauce was too watery and it did not have a good taste. The restaurant would've done better, by buying tarter sauce from the grocery store, and serving it instead. Then I ordered the fish bites and the fish needed to be cooked with seasoning. They had what looked like salt on the outside of the fish. And that did nothing for the flavor. This restaurant really needs to change their tartar sauce because it's horrible. And the ketchup tasted funny too. The ketchup had a sweet taste or something. I'm not sure if I'll go back to this restaurant, because I came there for the seafood. And the seafood...
