First time at new location... So. It looks like an Italian restaurant. Color. Boring. Decorations. Almost none. Sports on every TV. No Latino music. Lacks atmosphere. Lacks proper lighting... Oh. The food? That's now boring too. It's a very affordable lunch menu... But from staff snorting luggies, to walking by our table with empty glasses, it's not what it was. Portions are smaller. Quality went down. Even what once came with cheese, not anymore... It's ok at best for a local restaurant.. It's at best a 3.0 as food was ok. But not memorable. We used to visit 2 or 3 times a month. We were disappointed. It's not what it was. The old restaurant was more fun, colorful, upbeat etc. It needs character and ambiance. The food needs improvement in quality, character and portions. We were not extremely hungry and usually take some home. Not anymore... I don't understand how for years, you had a very good restaurant, and you fell this far. I don't understand how at times your overflowing with customers and serve what I consider, less than creative Taco Bell food. Obviously, your customer base does not get out much. Living under a rock they must. Once people have something else of quality, they will likely never come back. I doubt we will be back. The cleanliness was low, the salsa and table sauces were disgusting. Dirty looking and old. The entire quaintness is gone. It reminds us of an institutional Cantina at a factory. There were dirty dishes sitting on the tables. Getting 1 refill of soda, rather than bring a new glass, they took my glass with another costumers and refilled. Taboo... Wrong. ย ย ย Read moreFor the first time since going there since I was a kid, I had the worst service ever. We were able to sit right away. It took about 5 mins for the waiter who was a young guy took our drink order. About 5 mins later he came back with them. I had the horchata, and my partner a beer. Simple. But my Gosh did the horchata taste like it's been watered down and sitting there forever! I still drank it cause 1. I was very thirsty, and 2. I figured I got the end of it so not a huge deal. Than the waiter took our orders. I got the carne acada tacos with extra onion and my partner got the enchilada Supreme. Took about 15 mins for our food, reasonable time. But a woman waitress delivered out food and didn't even bring the right sides! So we told her and than she got it for us, again no big deal. But than I noticed I didn't get my extra onions for the tacos. I tried looking for the waiter to ask him about it but never saw him again for the rest of our time there.. never got asked if our food was okay or checked on the rest of the time. We had to flag down someone else after 20 or so mins of waiting un order to get our check. The person I believe told the manager and he gave us our check. He did give us a discount which we very much appreciated. Over all wasn't terrible but not the best service we've received. Might try again some other night since it could have been just...
ย ย ย Read moreOrdered over the phone. A STEAK chimichanga meal and a texas burrito. I went to pick up and the receipt had everything correct they reiterated to me my order. I went home and started eating while we watched a movie (so it was darker lighting). I cut one of my chimi's and saw no steak but "white meat" and figured they messed up and gave me chicken. Not what I ordered but no biggie. Got about 2 bites in and realized it is NOT chicken. It's imitation crab or something and shrimp! I am allergic to shellfish! I immediately went back with the food in hand and told them what happened and that I wanted my money back (I was not going to trust them again). The manager came out and asked how I paid. Cash. He walked over to the register and gave me my money and said "there ya go" and walked away. No apology. Nothing. This is SERIOUS. Thank God my allergy is not anaphylaxis level. It's ridiculous that they just didn't even care. I wasn't even rude about it either I just simply told them what happened with my order. This is not the first time nor the second or third they have messed up our to go order. But it's usually not as serious or bad as completely different meat in a meal. We will never go back again and I urge anyone with a food allergy or sensitivity...
