I have never in my life been so disrespected at a fast food establishment. Literally the first time I had to call corporate on fast food employees. I got there around four on a Friday afternoon. There was two cars already beyond the monitor so I was able to pull right up and order. I ordered three food items, and a beverage. Waited a bit to get up to the window, but not terribly long. Went to pull away from the window and realized they had forgot one food item. I couldn’t back up because there was already another vehicle at the window. I pulled ahead and parked near the front door. I got a hold of an employee inside. Mind you the dine-in area is still closed due to COVID-19, so I couldn’t just walk in and handle this in person. I told the employee that they had forgot one of my food items. He said “OK?” I said “Is it possible for one of you to bring it out? I don’t want to go back through drive thru because there is a line now?” “This has happened once before and an employee just brought the missed item out to me.” He said “Um no there’s only two of us in here you need to go back through the drive thru!” Now mind you, first off, I have already waited, already paid, and lord knows it’s not my fault they’re short staffed. So I simply said “OK.” I then proceeded to pull back into the drive thru where I waited approximately five minutes. All while my food I had already ordered was reaching colder temperatures than what they usually give it to us at. I get up to the monitor where I informed the employee I originally ordered from that I’m the one whom they forgot a food item for. He said “OK. Pull forward.” I then proceeded to put the voice recording on my phone because I felt this wasn’t going to go well. It was at approximately the seven minute mark or so that I made it back up to the window. The original guy handed me my missed item. I calmly told him that we can do this easy and informed him I was recording before he said something stupid. I told him I wanted the name of the employee that I spoke to on the phone so I could report him to corporate. He stuttered and stammered on himself before saying nothing, shutting the window, and turning to said “second employee”. This guy gets to the window. I said “Are you the one I spoke to on the phone?” He said “Yes.” I said “I would like your name so I can report this incident to corporate.” This imbecile then had the audacity, and nerve, to tell me, a paying customer, “You need to get out of my drive thru before I call the cops!”, and shut the window. Never once did I come across threatening, or was I disrespecting him ever! I proceeded to sit there for a couple minutes, and literally neither of the two would come back to the window to give me a name. Secondly whoever gave this moron the thought that he could call the cops for somebody asking his name should be fired with him. It’s sad these days that fast food establishments have to resort to hiring some of the most incompetent individuals on the planet at times, but it’s clear to see why he is working at a Portage Taco Bell, and going nowhere in his life. Needless to say I will never, ever in my life go back to that restaurant specifically, and possibly not back to Taco Bell in general. It’s not like I’m ever dying to get any of that subpar food anyway. I would sure hope anyone who has taken the time to read all this will take their business elsewhere. If not for some vengeance for a fella you don’t know, but hopefully because you know you deserve better. Why provide business, and financial assistance, to a place that knowingly hires losers to partake in “customer service” when in reality they have no idea what real “customer service” even is. My only wish is that by the time all is said and done that this embarrassment of an individual is jobless standing on a corner begging. Sounds harsh, sounds mean, but there are a lot things that can be fixed by using a little bit of compassion and understanding. Read moreUpdate :: I am horrified at the customer service I have been receiving at the Portage Wi Taco Bell. For the past 2 months I have been visiting this specific Taco Bell everyday, every visit is ridiculous !!! Portions are ALWAYS incorrect, nothing is ever folded correctly, tacos are ALWAYS broken, chalupas are always rock hard. So obviously I'm going to take the food back to have it replaced only to have a rock-hard chalupa replaced with another rock-hard chalupa. I have a broken Taco replaced with a taco of nothing but cheese and lettuce no meat. I unfortunately have 100s of photos of food that is ridiculously made incorrectly. I tried to notify the manager of all of the inconsistencies of this specific restaurant. She proceeded to argue with me and tell me that it's not her fault that she has been doing nothing but training people Non-Stop. After telling the manger that working at Taco Bell is easy that it's not rocket science (there are diagrams on how to correctly make food right in front of you) as I used to work there previous years ago manger cut me off while I was speaking and said to me that yes this job is hard and if I think it is so easy that I should come apply to work there she'll hire me so I can show her how to make things correctly. The manager then proceeded to argue with me, that she is the one who made all of the food on the line yesterday so she knows it was portioned folded and grilled correctly. I proceeded to ask her if they were made correctly then why do I see both flaps of the tortilla, she replied that I'm the one who folded it. she implied that I brought it home unfolded it and refold it incorrectly even though it has grill marks that have not been broken thus it was rolled incorrectly and then grilled in the restaurant. She event changed her story after I let her know I had a photo of it true that her supervisor is the one that made it.
Something needs to be done at this location !!! The food service, the customer service, the appearance of the restaurant ( ALWAYS DIRTY, I have photos of that as well.) It is DISGUSTING !!!

Read moreMoved to the area back in June 2025. Tbell has been one of my pregnancy cravings so we used to visit quite often. Like maybe 3-4 times a month. We started going here less as time went on due to our orders constantly being messed up and the food tasting really old/bad. When they had the steak nacho fries I would get that every time and every time the fries were cold and very hard. When they came out with the bbq chipotle chicken nacho fries I would get that but substitute for steak instead. They would give me BEEF. The burritos are always more tortillas than fillings and a lot of times if we got nachos it would be just beans and no beef when we asked for NO beans EXTRA beef. The late night crew is always so rude and they always look and talk like they’re FRIED out of their minds. Don’t even try bothering to call and complain cause they just pick up the phone and immediately hang back up. If we go, we try to go more so in the morning or the afternoon because we noticed the food tastes better and we have a higher chance of actually getting what we ordered. It is such a disappointment.
