Amaebi Sushi and Hibachi — Restaurant in Portland

FINALLY! A place open passed 9pm! This was so perfect for my friend and I, and our late sushi needs. The atmosphere was small and cute and felt very authentic to finding "hole in the wall" style restaurants in Japan.

The food was impressive and well made, and so fresh. The fish was flavorful and so good. I don't normally like tuna at sushi places but this tuna was so so good. The chef clearly knows what he's doing, loves what he's doing, and is very kind and warm. The staff was super chill and cool too!

The type of people coming in felt more my speed as well. This isn't your typical shopping and errands running type, these are your people who are wondering in because they want good sushi, chill vibes, and time to spend with themselves or whoever they are with. It's all welcoming here.

This place has now replaced all other sushi places for me here locally. I don't want to go anywhere else. Highly...

Ordered and got no soy sauce and no chopsticks... I just ran out of soy sauce so this really sucked. Dry nigiri (: yay...... Also, ordered ice tea and got milk tea... I'm allergic to dairy... I couldn't drink it and have no one to give it to. But, hey, a good way to waste your money! Don't order from here. Maybe going in gives them more accountability. I worked take out for years and always gave extra sauce and utensils just in case.. this had nothing. Also, no straw for the tea even if I wasn't allergic! Really smart...

You can tell that they really care about the food they put out. From the presentation, to the flavor of the rolls they offer, it was 10/10. The ingredients were all fresh. The server was perfect and the two Sushi Chefs were amazing.

This will be my go-to spot in the Portland area as I visit often. White Dragon Roll is highly recommended. My fiance had a tofu fried rice, which I happily ate the leftovers of. Extremely tasty food made...
