Very good food! Better quality food than its competitors in Portland! Order the “steamed dumpling”. It is not what you expect, but it is amazing. It contains some sort of meat. I think rice boiled egg it’s wrapped in a banana leaf and is so flavorful. It’s my new favorite.
3rd visit: chicken curry. So amazing. My new favorite perfect amount of chicken and veggies! Can’t wait for my next visit! Got another “dumpling” so addictive.
Edit: visit #4 (I live 100 feet away, that’s why so many visits). I got the 5 count egg rolls. Made from scratch. Amazing and flaky! Only thing I wasn’t happy about, there was no dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Will ask next time.
Highly recommend ordering online for pickup, because you can add eggs and cucumbers and other things to your sandwiches. Highly recommend adding eggs, it makes the sandwiches amazing!
Cannot wait for my next visit! Really hope they can keep up the good quality as...
Read moreBon Banh Mi is hands down one of the best spots for Vietnamese sandwiches around. The bread is baked to perfection — light, crispy, and just the right amount of chew. Every bite bursts with flavor, from the savory grilled meats to the fresh herbs and crunchy pickled veggies. You can really taste the care that goes into each sandwich.
The staff are friendly, quick, and always make you feel welcome. Even when it’s busy, service is smooth and efficient. The atmosphere is casual yet clean and inviting — perfect for grabbing lunch with friends or taking something to go.
I’ve tried several items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Whether it’s the classic pork Bánh Mì, the lemongrass chicken, or a tofu option, everything is consistently delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
If you’re craving something fresh, flavorful, and made with love, Bon Banh Mi is the place to go....
Read moreIn a time when a lot of sandwiches in this town are 15 dollars or more, I was pleasantly surprised to get an incredibly tasty banh mi and a pork-filled pastry for less than $10. I got the Grilled Pork banh mi and on the first bite I was impressed. The bread was exactly what I want in a baguette and the grilled pork was very tasty. I also think the ratio to vegetables and meat was spot on. I can't remember the name of the pork pastry I also ordered on a whim, but I'm glad I did because it was also fantastic. Super flaky and the pork filling was great. I'm really glad that more good food options are opening up in this area.
If you are a fan of good, affordable food, or just banh mis in general, I would highly recommend giving this place your business. I know that I will definitely be back to try more...
