I’m kind of blown away that I have a review like this, but here we are. My spouse and I always really get along with service staff. Especially since we once were for many years, but this was the first time I genuinely can’t tell you what went wrong. All I can say is that multiple staff members denied us simple requests like— instead of vodka can I have tequila or can we sit outside although we’re ordering at the bar. Stuff like that. And there was no follow up begging on our part, just reasonable normal requests made at restaurants.

Each time we were denied and with jokes that reeeeally didn’t come off as funny, but insulting. For example, not one, not two, but three waiters commented on how much food we bought?? Like, for one, more food means more tip and two, we only got 2 pretzels and an entree each. Is that like a grotesque amount of food for two? We actually love Belgium pretzels, but didn’t realize they were huge, but like why do I feel like I have to validate my order? I was hungry so I ate, but I couldn’t help but wonder if there was some kind of fat joke going around? And we’re not even fat. Like really. Maybe skinny fat? I don’t know, I’ve just never encountered this before. I’m a nice person and this was a weird experience to feel bullied by waitstaff at a restaurant. New experience for me.

Just to be clear, the bullying would make me rate this a 1 star, but not every person was mean, and the food was okay. Although they forgot my dressing which really wouldn’t have been a problem if asking for it didn’t make me feel gluttonous for no...

Attended a networking meeting in the mezzanine and had a great experience and a wonderful cocktail. Before heading home my friend and I had dinner downstairs. We were seated promptly at our table and instructed to order via our phones, which had us pay for everything ahead of time, including tip, which seemed a little strange to tip before the service was provided.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich with waffle fries. The fries were fantastic and in general the Cuban was great but on half of my sandwich, there was a ton of horseradish. However the interesting thing was the other half of the sandwich did not have horseradish . My friend ordered the macaroni and cheese and halfway through our meal she stopped eating and mentioned that her noodles felt like they had a lot of horseradish on it. I noted that mine did too, which seems strange. Double checking the menu. We noticed that neither of our meals mentioned in the menu description anything about horseradish. With this being such a bowl flavor it seems like something that would be mentioned in a menu.

I would have wanted to get the attention of a server to say something about our meals, but no one checked in with us after our food was dropped off. It was a busy night and even when we tried to make eye contact with the server to ask for a box for our fries. No one caught our attention so we had to walk...

Horrible service. Absolutely horrible. The kids, not host’s, have no clue as how to seat people or engage people in a proper fashion. Granted, the beer is good but for 7 bucks a pint for a non flagship is overpriced. Now, back to the seating and host’s. They told me 30 min at most and I waited for over an hour with already 2 beers in my tank. When I proceed to ask the Little Person host about the Tables and the fact there were 3 Tables of 4each seating which are open, she states it’s the managers policy not to seat all the Tables? Which, considering they are fully staffed..didn’t make any sense. Finally after realizing what a small, prententious menu they have We decided to leave. As I expressed my concern to the little Host and the Kids they chuckled all while lying about wait times to the next people who walked through the door. This is coming from a certified Oregon Beer SNOB. If you want to build a brewery and brew good beer than do it, but when you can’t staff a restaurant or have a proper menu, than don’t turn your Brewery into some pretentious Menu reaturant who can’t even act like one. Unless your just planning to have a $7...

This will probably be an unpopular review of this popular place/brewery amongst the many glowing ones. Beer: We had a sampler of the beer in the picture included. As soon as we saw it, we had a feeling that it would taste watery without a lot of flavor or complexity. We were right! The best one of the sampler was the Polychromatic IPA collab with Ruse. The Black&Tan tasted like an attempt was made to make a bourbon barrel-aged ale but didn’t quite get it right. The rest were forgettable. Food: The best food was the chicken tenders and fries that we ordered for our kid. She very much enjoyed the food there! My husband ordered the toasted Italian grinder to split with me. The overpowering flavor was salt. Atmosphere: We could see this as a popular place for parties or gatherings since the beer is popular among the masses. The tables were sticky. We ordered from the QR code and we bussed our own table. So what’s the tip for?? I guess the hostess was nice and gave our kid something to color and some crayons.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, this is a super popular place so expect a wait. For interior seating, the wait was considerably less than the wait for patio seating. But when you’ve got your pup with you, you wait 30 minutes for the dog friendly seating. Well socialized dogs will do best as there was a dog under almost every one of the tables. Once seated, it was disappointing to have waited so long for a sticky outdoor table that I had to bus myself. Water and food orders are self-service. Orders can be placed using a QR code on the table or by walking inside to the bar. The bar was hopping so it was most expedient to use the QR code. Food was underwhelming. My experience was inconsistent with the many 5-star ratings this restaurant receives. Perhaps it’s a better spot to enjoy a flight of beers with friends. I’ll pass next time.
