Whenever we walk past this cart, the staff look up from what they’re doing to say hello. They’re so sweet and humble, and their food is so fresh, complex, and balanced.The other day my bf ordered from this cart and the staff made me a free sample of Sweet and Sour soup- it stood out to me so much that I took notes on how it tasted: Peppery, delicate, slow build warm heat, balanced sour, great mouthfeel, not too thick, pretty. Fast foreword to this eve when we were in a rush to grab some food and THEY WERE JUST ABOUT TO CLOSE, but they made us 2 entrees, Sweet and sour soup and threw in 2 free Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls for each of us! My soup was as glorious as my first encounter, my Teryaki chicken was tender, subtly sweet, with shiny sauce. Fluffy rice! I was pleasantly surprised! I was craving Chinese and was a few minutes away, so I tried this food truck. Wow! I got chicken chow mein and spring rolls, and they also threw in some sesame balls (one of my favorites!). Normally American Chinese restaurants have chow mein that is kinda bland. No complaints, sometimes I really want basic food, other days I want all the spices. Well, this chow mein was wonderful. Noodles were cooked perfectly, was comfort food but not boring, plenty of chicken. Spring rolls were classic spring rolls. Sesame balls were good too. I came to this food cart due to seeing it was 5 stars and because I was craving some beef broccoli. I can say my craving was well met! We ended up ordering 3 combos with some drinks as shown in the picture. We also bought the sesame pancake as well. I was surprised to see the egg rolls and the wontons with the order. I'm not sure if it was with the combo or not, but either way we enjoyed it! The gentleman working was patient and helpful. The amount of food given was perfect!
