Los Arcos Mexican Food — Restaurant in Portland

Fish tacos were amazing, but I had two significant issues. 🌮

First, the young man who took my order mumbled something about a card as I handed in my credit card. Turns out he charged me a $.50 fee on a five dollar order. I don’t mind a CC fee, but it needs to be made clear that that’s what you’re doing. If I knew, I would’ve simply pulled out cash instead.

Second, I specifically ordered fish tacos with no onions, since I have a food intolerance. Halfway through eating them I started finding raw onion in them, which was very difficult to avoid since there is also cut lettuce that looks similar.

The older gentleman (owner) who gave me my order (and the key to the restroom) was very nice, and like I said, the fish tacos were impressive! I’d definitely go back, but felt the feedback was...

I only order one particular item from Los Arcos; that's Sopes. They make them good, very good. They make them fresh at the time you order them. Their are lots of Mexican restaurants and food karts that make a bunch of Sopes in the morning or the day before and then wrap them up and put them in the refrigerator those ones are always dry and necessitate deep frying. Not the case with Lots Arcos also . the red salsa is good too. Added bonus the couple that owns it are nice people friendly and happy to serve you they're...

Had 3 different tacos. Fish, chicken, and cow's tongue. They were all pretty yummy. The cow's tongue was extra soft, but it was well flavored. I was glad to try it, and see that all of a cow or bull was used and eaten, just like the Native Americans did.... I happen to be 1/16 Native American on my Dad's side. Yet, I am a conglomeration of German, French, Swedish, and Native American, and who knows...
