I was hungry and I wanted something fresh and filling to eat so I stopped by here. Mistake. I walked in and the place was empty. No big deal. So I order the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl. I got that and two drinks. 30 dollars. 30 dollars????????? So I think we'll at least the food will be good. I go sit down and waited until this hyper staff member passes me the most expensive fast food item I have ever had... I took one look and could not believe my eyes. It was the stingiest bowl of food I have ever paid 30 dollars for.. and get this.THEY GROUND UP THE TUNA IN A MACHINE PROCESSOR. It was like a clumpy fish paste mixed with mayo. What a joke. And no lie there was a total of 2 tablespoons of this awful fish paste in total. Mind you I paid 30 dollars. My girlfriend's got the tofu and that is a whole different story. I just don't understand. What happened to taking pride in your work. Why do these places rip you off? I just want to eat a good meal and not get ripped off in this town. Anyways, I sent it back without even taking a bite. I hope this place goes out of business. 0 out 5 ⭐......

Walked in at 9pm after a very long day of travel (I don't live in Portland), did not expect more than a quick bite (my adult daughter was with me; we don't usually eat this late but it was one of those days). When I saw the description of the Tonkotsu Ramen, I decided to take a chance. Honestly, we were also looking for wifi and this fit the bill.

I requested the hot on the side, and ended up using about 2/3 of it (I'm pretty heat tolerant from time spend in Kuala Lumpur etc). WOW this was fantastic, from the beautiful presentation (sorry no photo because I started savoring it from first glance) to the last drop of broth. The noodles were just firm enough, every ingredient seemed to be of high quality (the bok choy, for example, was beautiful and just wilted).

It's now a star on my map for Portland, and we'll be back when we're...

We visited on a Saturday in mid-June 2025 for dinner.

There was basically no parking. I dropped wife off and circled around and idled the car until she was ready for me to pick up.

It was not super busy but there were other groups in there. I was driving so I was not able to get pictures of the food but my wife got some pics of the inside for me.

We ordered: Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl Creamy Salmon Poke Bowl Spicy Scallop Poke Bowl Winter Melon with Coconut Jelly Boba Milk Tea

Everyone said the poke bowls were amazing and they drank all the boba tea without even me getting 1 sip. I guess it was good.

Overall the price was acceptable for what we got and we'd probably visit again if we were in town and...

We had lovely bowls. Mine was crab bowl and my husband’s was spicy tuna bowl. Loads of veggies. The crab bowl was supposed to be spicy but they toned it down at my request. Crab was tender and delicious. The spicy in the spicy tuna bowl was too spicy for my husband. In the winter, oftentimes smaller restaurants on Fore Street are cold (no double doors). It was very comfortable!! The decor was just okay. We clearly came for the food! Getting to the restaurant was treacherous. While the sidewalks belong to the City of Portland, business owners, including Crunchy Poke, should take responsibility for clearing a path in the snow before it becomes too packed down/icy.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Our original dinner plans fell through and we stumbled across this place! We had a gluten free allergy in our party and no cross contamination! The food was absolutely delicious! The ordering style is to die for (for introverts) we wanted to make our own bowls. They give you a paper with all the different foods and you go to your table and fill it out and then bring it up and pay. The food was quick and easy! The staff were super helpful and kind. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I’d ever seen. Our entire party said how refreshing it was! Overall 10/10 we definitely would love to go again!
