I have been to gelato fiasco many times. It is always consistently delicious and the staff have always been extremely patient and pleasant. However, last night was an exception. There was a gentleman working behind the counter who I can only assume is a manager/owner who in the time frame of being in there made multiple comments regarding the portion of the gelato being given out seemed a bit large for the size ordered and it was very off putting to hear as a customer. Although I have never been a small business owner, I can totally understand that it must be incredibly difficult and his job is to watch his bottom line. However, if the amount of product going out is drastically off from the amount of revenue coming in, then I would suggest having a serious private conversation and training event with staff instead of making off putting remarks in front of customers. The group I was with came in with a lot of excitement to try all of the delicious flavors they offer and it was met with an attitude of stinginess. We can certainly understand if there must be an up charge in certain circumstances to cover cost, however the average person is not coming in with the mentality of greed and getting as much as possible for the smallest price tag. With an interaction where these comments were made it really squashed the excitement behind the whole dessert experience and made it feel like all he cares about is nickel and diming people. I highly suggest that unless he really is facing struggles with his bottom line that he takes a step back and remembers that this is gelato and it is meant to be a light hearted and joy...

Lily H. is an amazing server and she was really patient and let us try as many flavors as we wanted. She also gave us recommendations and her favorite flavors. We ordered our gelato and an waffle cone. The register had an error and they couldn't fix it so they were going to give us our items for free, but Lily really welcomed us so we couldn't do that so we paid and tipped in cash instead of credit.
The espresso chip, ginger cookie, Sicilian pistachio, and mango flavors are amazing. Espresso chip is an addicting coffee flavor with little chips to give it a bite. Ginger cookie has a wonderful light flavor and has cookie chunks to add to the ginger flavor. I am not typically a fan of pistachio gelato, but the Sicilian pistachio really tastes like pistachios instead of pistachio flavoring. The mango is bright and sweet as expected.
I came back multiple times and the gelato and service is good everytime. The only regret I have is that I cannot bring a tub of gelato back without it melting during my 5 hour drive and that New York does not have a branch of Gelato Fiasco. Overall, what a beautiful gelato shop where every flavor is delicious. I highly recommend checking...
ย ย ย Read moreWhat do I think about Gelato Fiasco? Here there be sublime flavors and flavor combinations. Exquisite and luscious mouth feel, like no gelato I've ever had and I've eaten in the North End of Boston. This is truly eyes-rolling-back-in-my-head-ambrosial, Nectar of the Gods, gelato. You may think that some of these flavor combinations are Over the Top; but you must trust these geniuses because they are mad geniuses if you try only one flavor make it the strawberry balsamic sorbetto it elevates strawberry to a whole new flavor experience. Every flavor I tried and they let me try several, (and they encourage you to try as many as you want before you order) was incredible. You can have up to 3 flavors in a large; but I wanted to narrow it down to just two flavors that balanced each other. I had fallen in love with the strawberry balsamic as soon as I tasted it; so after I tasted the Dark Chocolate Noir, which is the deepest, darkest chocolate I've EVER tasted, I had the perfect counterpoint. This was absolutely the epitome in frozen dessert...
