Disappointing Experience with Multiple Concerns
My recent visit to this Denny’s location was marked by several concerning observations that ultimately led to an unpleasant experience.
First, despite the prominent “NO SMOKING” sign at the entrance, I witnessed a Denny’s employee asking a person experiencing homelessness for a lighter right outside the building. This immediately raised questions about the enforcement of policies.
Second, the atmosphere inside felt uncomfortable, with a sense of needing to stay vigilant rather than being able to enjoy a relaxed meal.
The third issue involved an employee named Ms. Julianah. I observed her and another individual smoking what appeared to be marijuana outside near my vehicle. They then entered the restaurant with a child, which seemed highly inappropriate for a family dining establishment.
Additionally, there was confusion with my order. I expected pancakes with my meal but received toast instead. this wasn’t a major issue for me, when I inquired about the pancakes, I overheard a loud response from an employee stating, “No, she can add 2 for $2,” before my server could even reach my table. This response was unprofessional and disruptive.A family member said who yelled that ,it was only two waitresses I told her the girl with baby that was by my car !
Matters escalated when I reached for a ketchup bottle from a nearby table. Ms. Julianah began making disparaging comments about me. When she noticed I had overheard, she abruptly changed her tone and asked if I needed anything. I requested to speak with a manager and expressed that I had lost my appetite due to the poor service and uncomfortable environment. Despite this, food continued to be brought to our table, which we did not eat.
Ultimately, my family and I chose to leave without finishing our meal and with no intention...
Read moreWe were here Nov 26th at 9am Our waitress didn't take my nut allergy seriously at the beginning which was kind of a mind bender. "I have a very bad nut allergy. Do you have nutrition or ingredient book?" She rushed off saying " I don't know." She didn't get a manager or respond to our continued reminder for information.
Our waitress was very snappy and condescending when I politely pointed out how the pancake balls appetizer were drenched & soaked through with oil, "they're deep fried honey." "That's okay it's just these are inedible with how much oil is soaked through them" "well they're deep fried, It says so on the menu" it didn't. After that she was pretty fed up with us for whatever reason. Taking food off of our table without asking. I guess maybe because we looked visibly perturbed and were taking a long time to eat? She didn't ask us how things were of course.
My boyfriend's food was cold but after her attitude with me he didn't bring it up.
We tried one of the balls each and we're sick afterwards with acid reflux and heartburn. I threw up, I have a very sensitive stomach, while my boyfriend has a iron stomach.
Not pleasant. Worse service I've had at a restaurant, I expect the food to be edible not of high quality here but this was a nightmare. We were waiting 45-1hr for food and ~15-20 minutes for unhelpful nutritional pamphlet we got after asking another one of the staff, it had only à la carte items and not main menu items which we ordered.
Mind you it was busy because it was Black Friday morning but still some care and reinsurance could have been taken about my nut allergy and the food preparation.
Seems like plenty of other people like eating here and we appreciate food servers and cooks during these tough times. We won't be coming...
Read moreDisgusting service. It began when the waitress came to ask what we wanted to order. We said we'd please like a smoothie made without yogurt. She claimed it cannot be made without the yogurt. This, however, is not true. As every other Denny's we have tried has happily substituted the yogurt for extra banana. Although it's still rude, at least if she was honest that she simply thought it was too much trouble, we would have respected the honesty. Instead, she doesn't apologize for it, and we move onto the entrees. Now, keep in mind, we called ahead a few hours prior to see if they had the Beyond Burger at this location. The person over the phone confirmed they did. We decided to double-check by asking her. She made a disgusted look at us and said "uh...no." When we told her that someone from the store told us that, she said "When did you call?" all aggressively. We told her about an hour ago, and this is where the worst part comes in. She says "Really? 'Cause the phone hasn't rang" as she made a mocking expression towards us, indicating disbelief that we actually called. I replied "I could show you the call logs..." she then went "hmmph" very snarkily and looked away, then WALKED AWAY to tend to another table without saying anything like "I'll be right back". We walked out and wouldn't return if it was the only food on earth. That's not how you treat people who ask a simple question. And all after calling us "sweethearts" multiple times in a row? It just makes you look like a passive-aggressive and mentally-ill person who is going untreated and taking out their negativity on whomever is...
