Denny's — Restaurant in Portland

Ok this is a long story so bear with me please I live off scholls ferry road I’m tired and hungry so I look up dennys it took me to the dennys down town Portland ok I pull into parking lot dark people all over doubted even getting out of van I did walk into dennys scan room always do dirty. Dirty tables almost every table one lady on floor one behind cash register Lady behind register is cashing out a lottery ticket , than putting together a delivery order She looks up at me and says straight out I’m not in the mood to wait on anyone . And she don’t after cashing in ticket and put order together she disappeared Another person goes to counter she appears waits on them disappears Now lady on floor hasn’t cleaned a table yet or tired in 40 minutes of standing waiting to be seated lady on floor seats one table of 4 watched bring them drinks takes there order even watched start to bring food out to them Now in that time has not tried to seat 3 single guests waiting . No tables cleared no tables wiped off . 40 minutes. Time walking in she had 2 tables with guests I watched her go to each table once . Now I’m wonder a young lady in 40 minutes seat one table clear nothing doesn’t even try to seat the 3 single guests waiting in line . Why does she have a job ? Lady behind cash register flat out refuses to do anything but cash a ticket or 2 in 40 minutes why is she working ? So I left the 2 men say hay where you going , I tell them I’m hungry it’s apparent there not going to wait on us . There bummed they don’t have a car to go to another Dennys . I went to the Dennys on stark Parking lot well lite up security checking on girls . I walk in I’m immediately acknowledge , sat Place is clean very clean Drink brought out Order taken Food brought out Dirty table another server poops up out of nowhere cleaning sweeping floor Young ladies very efficient at there job Night and day how these 2 Dennys are ran I’m very shocked the one down town is open Rude , lazy, very dirty , unsafe parking lot Servers flat out refusing service When did a restaurant make so much money they just don’t give there guest services ? Now the young lady at stark restaurant named Megan is a good worker I sat and watched her she’s right on top of her game very nice to go sit eat and be treated with respect Megan treated every guest I watched walk into the restaurant with the most upmost respect a server can Dennys should be proud to have a worker so competent...

LONG REVIEW TIME! I went here last week around 9pm with my best friend and my Minecraft goat Paul. 🐐 This was my very first time at a Denny's, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Paul ordered mozzarella sticks, which I haven't had in years. I'd give those a 7/10. They gave me pure delight in the form of an odd nostalgia and happy food chemicals, but realistically, they were mid. 🧀🙂

I ordered the fruit pancakes, and they put chocolate chips instead of strawberries on top. 🍫 🍓🥞 🤌😌💀 I don't mind, and I didn't say anything. 🤐👍I would give them a 7/10. The chocolate clashed a little with the blueberry in the pancake too much for my personal taste, otherwise it would get an 8 or maybe even 9. My friend also got pancakes. We shared a strawberry milkshake 🍓, and as with many milkshakes, it was slightly difficult to drink it through the straw right away. Despite this early obstacle, the milkshake was very good, maybe an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Oh, I almost forgot! The pancakes came with hash browns, eggs, and sausages/bacon. My friend and I panicked for a second when they asked how we wanted our eggs 🍳🥚 because we didn't see the question coming. All of these were very good, and my friend absolutely loved the hash browns 💅🥴🥔😋🧡

It took like ten minutes for my friend to pull into the Denny's as the surrounding roads are a slightly confusing maze of one-way streets. 🛣️ 🚗 It likely won't be that confusing for you; it was night time and a less experienced driver in an unfamiliar area.

I think some kid thought we were in a relationship which may or may not have led his parents to explain gay people, but I didn't really hear. I'd love to be the reason some kid learns what gay is, and I think it's hilarious it wasn't even a date with a partner but just with a friend and Minecraft goat. Anyways.

The music was 10/10! A little difficult to hear, but 2 songs I remember are Riptide and All Star 🌊🎸⭐💚

That's it! Give it a try if you wish. Bonus points if it's between 10pm and 5am. Also I forgot how paying works and doodled rainbows and stuff on my receipt thing.

It took literally 45+ minutes after finally being seated to get a waitress to acknowledge me and ask if I wanted anything to drink and I got my coffee but I ended up having to go out to my car to get my water bottle to get water to drink, really ?…..and then after placing my order and waiting an hour and 15 minutes, yes well over an hour ! and then I asked about my food she said,' oops it must have gotten forgotten about !?'-and when my food finally came, the order was incorrect!- I ordered a grand slam and I wanted the French toast and asked for crispy bacon no sausage and even had a detailed conversation about how running eggs freak me out and I got pancakes and flimsy wet bacon and the sausage I didn't want and absolutely liquid chicken for my 'well cooked eggs', And when I tried to point out to the waitress that I wanted different things in my order she literally walked away from me and left the building!?!- and I just spent way too much time in the nasty dirty bathroom throwing up and there was no toilet paper even though they just closed and cleaned the bathrooms(?) but I think they just poured water on the floor to make it look like they mopped. I'd assumed there was free coffee refills, but I literally had to go ask a random worker to get me a second cup of my expensive coffee and was never offered refills, I felt completely invisible and it was the worst service ever! And when I went to use my coupon discount at the checkout time I was told I couldn't use it?!- wow, that was really disappointing! The workers were too busy socializing with all the randoms coming in and out at all hours and checking their phones and taking smoke breaks instead of being attentive to the few customers were in the restaurant ...and there were literally homeless people camped out and sleeping in the entryway lobby for hours. Overall a very disappointing expensive time wasting...
