A few friends and I decided to stop in to check the place out because I had heard good things about their chicken awhile back. Immediately walking in the vibe was a little off, but we decided to stick it out. After sitting down our waitress came over and asked if she could get anything started for us to drink. After my friend asked about the beers, she asked for our IDs (expected, we're all young), and immediately started interrogating my friend on why he hadn't gotten a new updated ID. She then proceeded to interrogate me and ask if we worked for OLCC and if this was a sting operation because our IDs looked "suspicious". I gave her another form of ID I had on me and she proceeded to take all four IDs to the back to get double checked. After clearing everything up, she apologized and took our drink orders. The food came out and it was good, but you can tell they don't change their fryer oil as often as they should. After finishing up I took my time to drink water because I wanted to be 100% sure and safe that I could drive. The waitress brought our receipt and said she'd be back in a little bit for payment. After ten minutes of waiting, I told my friends I was going to use the restroom really quick. Within the 2 minutes I was in the restroom, our waitress came up to the table and confronted my friends saying along the lines,"okay you guys I'm really slammed so I can get you guys at the counter or what's going on." in an off putting tone. After coming out of the bathroom and visibly seeing my friends irritated I asked what happened within the two minutes I wasn't present. They told me the encounter and I quickly went to the counter to pay. The waitress went back to trying to be overly nice and helpful. It's very rare I don't leave a 20% tip when I eat out, but last night I didn't tip. I'll never be back to this establishment. Mid food, muggy and thick air, sticky tables, and mediocre...
Read moreWe had high hopes for a good chicken restaurant but this is not a palace of poultry. You’ll find on the menu a few chicken sandwiches and a rendition of popcorn chicken called “chunkie dunkies”. We asked for a drink menu from our underwhelmed waitress and she replied that, “we don’t have one.” Ok. If you’re hoping for some REAL fried chicken, some southern HOT chicken, maybe some hush puppies, coleslaw, cornbread, grits or anything that would remotely back up the claim of chicken royalty living in this suggested kingdom of white meat, this is not your place. I ordered the Chicken of the Sea sandwich, it was gross. The outside was over done and the inside was just a greasy mess (not the good kind) my boyfriend ordered the Hawaiian chicken sliders and they weren’t anything to write home about. Our friend ordered the chunkie dunkies and they had chic-fil-et vibes at best. Drinks - we ordered two bloody Mary’s and it was about as plain and lame as the rest of the short menu. A small, dismal piece of lemon and lime as a garnish is all you will find with said cocktail. Listen, if your going to coin the place a chicken palace at the very least offer actual fried chicken 😒 Long story short: the menu. Wait staff: meh Price: not bad Over all opinion: not coming back for a fast food style chicken sandwich and...
Read moreThe food is bomb, this was our first time dining in & we brought both our kids with us. 12 & 7. They started playing around with the ice hockey & moved onto the pool table, the waitress (I’m assuming Suzanne B from what our receipt says) made a comment about it being her game, she laughed & smiled so we thought she was joking. The game didn’t look like it was being played & the white ball wasn’t even out plus, she was working… The kids moved on & she eventually came over & took our order without asking if we were ready. Just standing there impatiently. l could immediately sense she was irritated, kept rolling her eyes, made a rude “wow” remark toward my stepdaughter after she said what she wanted to drink, impatient, & just overall bad energy. At first I thought thats sadly her personality but compared to the other guests who came in after us, her energy was much more perkier toward them. Not sure if it all started with the pool game & it bothered her that much but giving energy like that especially towards kids is embarrassing & unnecessary. Not sure if we’ll dine in again but if we decide to & she’s there, we will have to go...
