In an area that has a wealth of taco trucks and taquerias, La Hidalguense is hands-down the best.

We have tried about a dozen in outer SE, and the quality, value, and flavor is simply outstanding. Easily the best carne asada I've had in Portland.

It is a taco truck, only takeout as there is zero seating. Portions are huge.

The red sauce is crazy delicious, but spicy!!! Verde is mild, but full of flavor.

Also, they do tamales daily!

Highly recommend. Possibly the best Hispanic food I’ve EVER had. The tortillas were great, bread for the Torta was Definitely the best I’ve ever had. Not so soft that it falls apart, slight crunch.
