10/02/2021: 4.50 out of 5 - Came here after a Saturday run with my group. Everyone was in agreement in trying a new place. We were able to sit inside for brunch. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Moreso, after getting my cup of coffee. However! When the food came out out, we were all pleasantly surprised with the food. It all looked nicely cooked, plated well, and most importantly, it was VERY TASTY! Great prices for the most part, too! The service at the Moreland Ale House was just spot on. Attentive, not intrusive, but all-around friendly service staff. Moreland Ale House is spacious and very clean. I am picky establishment person when it comes to cleanliness, but very big on looking at the vents of a place. Despite the coffee needing to be better (maybe I should have had a breakfast beer 😂), everything else under the roof made it worth the visit. So, if you are in the area, give Miranda Ale House a try, and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

I visited for the first time, during Portland Mercury's Wing Week 2021, to try their Asian Orange Glazed Wings (pictured). They were excellent! I would say that they landed as my sixth favorite, overall, after having tried ALL 24 participants, this week, and were one of my favorite mild choices. They were very mild, sticky and sweet, with a refreshing, classic orange chicken flavor. The wings are pepper ginger marinated, lightly breaded in-house, and feature a house-made "Asian orange" glaze. Wonderful! If you are spicy-food-averse, or just looking to cool your taste buds down, to better pace your enjoyment of Wing Week, this is a great option. Service was friendly, professional and accommodating. If you like my photograph, feel free to follow my foodie Instagram for more (casual, and almost exclusively small / local) greater-Portland-area foodventures! Instagram: jonathan.grubb

I came here during Wing Week and got 6 of their habanero pineapple wings for $6. A not-so-hidden dive bar in the heart of Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR. It was Saturday during college football season and half the place was packed with UofO Duck fans, while the other half was of Bama fans while both teams played their respective games and yelling and cheering ensued. You go up to the bar to get your drinks and order then take the number to any seat and just wait. No frills, but I can see how the community would love coming here.

I was hungry and saw they had some bar food I was looking for. It's their burger week so they cut their menu and are only doing their specialty burger. I don't mind, I think that's great they wanna focus on that and, in theory, do it well. My first problem is they advertised pork belly on the burger. It wasn't an expensive burger so I wasn't expecting a fat piece of cured pork belly. They gave me bacon. If you told me bacon from the start, fair game. Don't serve me bacon after hyping your "pork belly" up. Second problem is you're allowed to serve a smaller burger if the rest of the ingredients are making the burger more "elegant". The burger was thin and over-seasoned with pepper. The aioli was good and the Tillamook cheese was good, as it always is, but the entire burger felt so underwhelming if you're cutting your menu to ONLY make this sub par burger. The service was great, bartender friendly, this is only a gripe on the unfulfilling "main star" of their...

This was the second time I've been to the Moreland Ale House. I really enjoyed my visit the first time I went with friends. Then I suggest to my brother we go to Moreland Ale House for my birthday lunch. I wasn't impressed. The place was slow, no one came to take our orders, and when I asked for another Wild Run, they gave me something else. I didn't complain because it was a good amber beer. We asked for something to take our food home with. We waited and waited. I finally went in to get something and the owner saw me coming, grabbed the takeout container and walked in the opposite direction thinking I wouldn't figure out he forgot to get us our takeout container. This is on top of having to wait to order our burgers because lunch hours wasn't until 1pm. Mind you, they were slow in business. Very poor quality customer service. No one checked on us during our stay to see if we needed anything or wanted more drinks. They won't last if this is how...
