Holy latte art. There is absolute beautiful care taken into the taste and presentation of these drinks. We got the banana miso latte and although the banana was missing for us, it was still tasty and incredibly smooth. Not pictured are their breakfast sandwiches - they may not look like anything fancy, but dang they are tasty. Our friend has the bacon one and loved it, my husband got the turkey one and said it was very flavorful (he also loved the hot sauce that comes with each one), and I got the chorizo one. They tasted very fresh. It looks very small upon walking in but there is a little downstairs area with more seating that was pretty chill. Staff is super nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. Would recommend!

my favorite coffee shop in portland omg... the quality of the coffee is great and the specialty and flavored lattes are made with house made syrups and are very fun, creative, and actually good. staff is great, you can tell they all a part of the vision here and that they enjoy being there. eddie josh and bryce are so so nice, great, and can pour a bonkers latte. very fun atmosphere very chill and casual small seating up in front and a bigger area downstairs to sit where you can post up for working. my favorite is the ube blossom latte and they usually have a funky pour-over available that's always great

No Preference is a supremely cozy, full of good vibes shop. Went in on a Saturday around 11am and they were packed, but turning out orders super quick! Absolutely delightful baristas, everyone was so kind and patient. Less than 10 minutes from the time I walked in, to the time I got my drink. Service is 11/10. Menu is full of classic coffees, as well as their fun signature drinks, along with a rotating seasonal menu. Matcha was great quality, coffee was superb. Nice amount of seating. I will absolutely be back for the delicious drinks, comfortable atmosphere and stellar service. Thanks guys!!

As a visitor from Canada exploring Portland for the first time, I was eager to try out the city’s famous coffee scene. I stumbled upon this cozy coffee shop, and it completely lived up to the hype.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d found a little slice of home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for taking a break from sightseeing. The baristas were incredibly friendly and more than happy to help me choose something from their menu. I went with a classic espresso, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, smooth, and full of flavor.

The shop itself is beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating that made it easy to relax and unwind. I also tried one of their pastries, which was just as delicious as the coffee. It was the perfect spot to recharge before heading back out to explore more of the city.

If you’re visiting Portland, especially from somewhere like Canada where we take our coffee seriously, this place is a must-visit. It’s clear that they care about both quality and making their customers feel welcome. I’ll definitely be stopping by again the next time...

May 21, 2025 In a plot twist worthy of a telenovela, a few familiar faces have left to start a new coffee shop just down the street. I’m thrilled to support both establishments, but I can’t help but wonder… will latte art battles break out? Will scones be weaponized? Only time (and possibly Instagram Stories) will tell. Either way, we’re all winners—just very, very caffeinated ones.

Mar 17, 2025 This is objectively the best coffee shop in Portland. Probably Oregon. Maybe the world. The coffee? Impeccable. The atmosphere? Suspiciously perfect. I’m starting to think they’re hiding something, like a secret coffee lab or a portal to a dimension where everything tastes better—I'll continue to go multiple times a week for "reconnaissance" and report back any findings.

Anyway, if you’re drinking coffee anywhere else, you’re making a...

Wow I love no pref coffee pdx. Real bang-up job if I do say so myself. I just learned “bang-up job” is a good thing! The no pref people do NOT “bang-up” your coffee (ie, bang your order against walls, tables, heads, or tails), but they DO DO a “BANG-UP JOB” (ie, honorably make great coffee, and allow you to make jokes. They may or may not laugh, which I respect. All these other coffee shops laugh at whatever I say, which at this point makes me feel far too powerful. No Pref humbles me right back down to earth- the only place I wanna be as long as No Pref is around.) Moral of the story is this, ok- Living on this planet is hard enough. Get out there and visit places that serve great drinkies and snackies, all while making you feel human and respected and funny. (but not too funny. The power WILL go...
