I came to pick up a taco order and was told, "I’ll be right back," the employee stepped outside with no explanation of how long he’d be gone. The environment felt off, someone was lying across a booth with their feet up, which felt inappropriate and unhygienic. I waited near the door, and when the employee came back, I stood at the counter, but he helped someone who arrived after me without checking who was next. It felt disorganized and dismissive. On top of that, the tacos weren’t even that good. The meat was chunky, rushed, and not made with care. One taco had so much fat it was barely edible. I won’t be returning. Too confusing, unprofessional, and...

A MUST GO spot for anyone in Portland. We’re from Vancouver, Canada and always stop by here. The food is always a hit and the prices are at a very affordable price for what you get. The owner always takes care of his customers and gives vibe that just feels like you’re eating with your family. For all the Canadians, he only takes cash , venmo , or cash app. We made that mistake but with all the time we took ordering and figuring out the payment, he was patient and understanding the entire time and started our orders while we figured out the payment. To the owner, thank you for the hospitality and kindness you showed. We hope you get the recognition...

Great flavors, really consistent pricing, and big servings! I got the birria tacos, and they were good, but the tortillas could’ve been cooked or fried in the soup/sauce (they were just regular tortillas) and the soup was INCREDIBLY OILY and GREASY. Pictured is the second wad of paper towels that I used to soak up all that grease. I tried to spoon it out and eventually just gave up, I couldn’t make a dent in that thick layer of grease. When the soup kind of sat out and got a little colder, the grease started to harden and that’s when I knew it wasn’t just oil. You can even see the separation between the oil/grease and actual soup on the spoon in...

Ole Ole indeed! The chicken enchilada platter I had here made me think back to my childhood in California, in which an enchilada platter was a nostalgic comfort food of mine. The tacos (including tongue tacos, which are far too infrequently featured at most Mexican restaurants) also hit the spot. And the horchata, just yes yes yes! Don't expect anything overly complex/unique, or a sit down, serve-you-at-your table type atmosphere. Ole Ole isn't those things, and it doesn't need to be. You order at the counter, and in crazy fast fashion (less than 5 minutes), your food is served. Ole Ole would be a go-to of mine if I lived in Portland. Super recommended!

Great, traditional Mexican food for a reasonable price. I had the burrito dinner with refried beans , cheese, and rice. The beans and rice were made perfectly and there was a perfect amount of cheese. It came with a side of rice and refried beans, along with sour cream, guacamole, and homemade salsa. The homemade salsa is delicious, as are the side of chips we got. The guacamole was ok. We were served very quickly!
