After seeing Nosh Kitchen Bar on Man vs. Food, we wanted to have burgers at Nosh Kitchen Bar. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the Oak Street Bellini and The O.G. The Oak Street Bellini consisted of Stoli Orange, blood orange puree, and peach schnapps shaken, served over the rocks, and finished with champagne. It was light, fruity, and quite refreshing. The O.G. consisted of Bully Boy Whiskey, black walnut bitters, simple syrup, wild Italian cherry, and orange peel. Brendan enjoyed the Big Mack without pickles and onions. His version consisted of Two Nosh patties, thousand island sauce, lettuce, and American cheese served on a triple stack sesame seed bun. I ordered the Cheeseburger, which consisted of a NOSH patty, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle served on a grilled bun. I didn't like the texture or taste of the patty. I felt it was overdone and not juicy. We shared an order of salt and vinegar Nosh Fries with ketchup and chipotle mayo. I liked how the fries were crispy, fresh, and tasty. After we finished our drinks, we shared a Downeast Sangria Cider on draught. It was light, sweet and fruity but I felt that it had no distinct flavor compared to other Downeast Ciders.

This place was GREAT! Came in for a quick drink and some Salt and Vinegar French Fries. It was St. Patty's Day, so it was pretty packed in there. Thankfully the bar was first come first serve, so when a party of four got up and left my friend and I didn't lose any time in grabbing their seats. We sat down, ordered a beer and a water. The waiter came back reasonably quickly with our drinks and took our food order. We had been eating all day, so we were getting the fries and heading home. We order the Salt and Vinegar fries, and honestly - I don't know why other restaurants don't make them! They should be as common as sweet potato fries in my opinion! The waiter literally came back inside of 10 minutes with our fries! I understand it doesn't take a lot of time to make fries, but on St. Patty's Day, and the place being slammed to have that quick turnaround, I was impressed! Will definitely be back when I visit next, those fries are definitely worth the drive!!!

The food was hands down amazing. Order the bacon dusted fries because bacon and fries are always a good idea. The mac'n stack burger was amazing. The mac n'' cheese was a little dry but that is completely understandable other wise the bun wouldn't hold together. The club sandwich was delicious and quite large (Yay for leftovers!) I was disappointed with the loudness of the music. It was so loud that my friend and I were yelling at each other and still couldn't hear what the other had to say. The other, rather important, matter that was disappointing was the service. The hostess was rude and very unfriendly and then the waitress was even worse. She never checked on us we had to get up and go to the bar to get more water. She came to take our order and to give us the bill. Quite frankly the worst waitress I've ever had. The food makes it worth it, however, next time I will take mine to go.

Nosh used to be a one of a kind establishment. Somewhere I would go for snazzy burgers, good beer, and delicious bacon dusted fries. It stood out. Somewhere along they line, they cut their menu to nearly a 3rd of its prior glory and changed from big juicy patties to smashburgers and from thick warm steak fries dusted with bacon and served with elite side sauces to ordinary fries with the copy pasted +$2 for Parmesan truffle fries. Their beer menu has also been gutted.

I asked the waitress about the shift and apparently it was a change of ownership as their sales weren’t high enough.

Frankly, I am beyond devastated. This place has become another boxed up Buzz Lightyear on the proverbial toy store wall and there seems to be no sign of intelligent life left in the kitchen.

I will say the service is MUCH improved as are the wait times. The service was kind and enthusiastic and I wish them all very well and our tip reflected the good quality of their service. We got both of their burgers and the chicken sandwich with a draught IPA, a canned brown Ale, and their penicillin cocktail. However, for $94 before tip and a literal 60% drop off in quality, we will never be coming back. There are better places to get smash burgers and better places to go get the thick juicy burgers they once ruled the town with. Rest in Peace to the Nosh...

We are from Colorado and Nosh has always been our go to spot as soon as we get to Maine as their stash burgers used to be the best we’ve ever had. With much anticipation, we went there yesterday to eat and bring new family members, also visiting Maine, there as well to show them our favorite spot. It was a massive let down. The moment you walked into the establishment, the smell of bleach was absolutely suffocating. All of our throats, noses and eyes burned immediately and it was torture sitting there waiting for our food while getting poisoned by the overwhelming toxic fumes of bleach in the air. After the wait for our food, the food was also nothing what it was the previous times we have visited. The smash burgers buns used to be so soft (a major reason we loved them) and this time; the buns came out very dry, to the point I could not even finish my burger. The burger you can tell was also very sloppily made and just nothing like we are used to. People can get extremely ill from the toxic fumes of bleach so I hope the establishment can find other ways to clean for customers and health concerns. I am still violently ill from the bleach fumes yesterday. Maine is not a cheap place to visit and our trip has now taken a turn for the worst due to...

I am shocked to see some negative reviews on this place. Not sure how I found it a year ago, but this is my go-to joint for unbelievably great tasting food and some great beer to go with it. We're from Boston, no stranger to great restaurants. And Portland does have some of the best (contrary to what others believe). But if we're down by the waterfront and have a craving for a burger, we trek the distance up to Nosh, walking past all the other great restaurants along the way. The Nosh burger is good, but by far my favorite is the Slab burger. What a fantastic combination - Slab pizza for the bun. I have never had such a great combination of flavors! By the way, if you're interested in some really unique, interesting Sicilian-style "Pizza", visit Slab down the street. Owned by the same guy.

Only problem is that, like many restaurants in Portland, the wait can be excessive. We went to Nosh (for my fourth time) last night and had to wait 45 minutes to get a seat. But not a problem - they have a patio area out front where we could take our beers and do some people watching. The hostess came out about 30 minutes later to tell us two seats were available at a common table if we were interested. As with the three other times, we loved...
