I will never go back to this restaurant. I was given a salad with a huge black hair attached to the crispy wonton on my salad, the waiter put it down on the table & both me & my friend looked down & were like 🤢. The waiter walked away before we could say anything. I waited till he came back out & I showed him the hair & he said it was mine! It was literally stuck to the wonton! Gross. I decided to ignore his statement since we’re there to have a nice lunch & sometimes things like hair in food happen. But… our entrees came & mine was all onions, one mushroom & a few slices of bell pepper with stale microwaved rice along with cold in the center fried tofu. My friends was a mango curry that was really fishy (they ordered chicken) & the chicken was mushy & so was whatever fruit was in the dish, their rice was also crusty. We left. Won’t be back. Went down the street to Mi Sen noodle bar & had an amazing meal & excellent service. I suggest you go there...
Read moreI dropped by for lunch while my friends shopped at a nearby market. I was surprised to find that there was essentially one guy serving, operating payment, and doing basically everything but cook. That being said, he was nice and accommodating. The fried spring rolls are a nice contrast between crunchy shell and squishy glass noodle filling, and come with an addicting chili sauce. The Pad Thai was good even though I’m somewhat wary of the dish, the noodles themselves being delicious and the pork, peanuts and even bean sprouts providing a good contrast. Finally, dessert was fried ice cream, which was heavenly - much better than Mexican or Chinese fried ice cream, both of which had disappointed me in the past. Just vanilla ice cream in a crispy batter shell. Note that I got “dinner” for lunch on the weekend, when their hours are more accommodating. Don’t know how things would have gone if I’d come...
Read moreHusband and I shared dinner here. We found the menu to be diverse and were pleased with our meals. He had his usual of pineapple fried rice with chicken at level one spicy. He found that it was just a little too spicy for him. I had something new to me: Duck noodle soup at level zero spicy. I really liked the soup, savory, not greasy, which duck can tend to be. Crabmeat wantons or Rangoon are always the appetizer of choice. I felt that the crabmeat filling was cold in the center. There's probably a fine line between perfectly golden on the outside (maybe with chilled filling) and melted filling oozing out of the wanton wrapper (therefore over cooked). The crabmeat filling appeared to contain real crabmeat. The food was very yummy and the service was prompt. I noticed that other parties had short waits for a table. And the takeout service was very busy - a sign of...
