As a member of the band Izy Kactus, having the opportunity to play at Turn! Turn! Turn! in Portland was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into the venue, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was both intimate and electrifying, perfectly suited for live music enthusiasts. The eclectic mix of artists that grace the stage at Turn! Turn! Turn! is a testament to the venue's commitment to diversity and inclusivity, ensuring a safe space for all attendees and performers alike.
Our experience on stage was incredible, thanks to the top-notch acoustics and the warm, enthusiastic crowd that really knows how to appreciate good music. It's rare to find a venue that strikes the perfect balance between a cozy setting and a vibrant live music scene, but Turn! Turn! Turn! does it with ease.
One cannot review this venue without mentioning the fantastic staff, especially the bartenders who keep the energy high and the drinks flowing, contributing to the overall stellar experience. However, the highlight of working with Turn! Turn! Turn! was undoubtedly collaborating with Elizabeth for our booking. Her professionalism, passion for music, and dedication to the artists make the process smooth and enjoyable, ensuring that each event is a success.
I am thrilled to see Turn! Turn! Turn! thriving and continuing to support the live music community in Portland. My bandmates and I are eagerly looking forward to our next gig here. For fellow musicians looking for a venue that truly values and uplifts live music, and for anyone craving an authentic, enjoyable music experience, Turn! Turn! Turn! is the place to be. Here's to many more memorable nights at this...
Read moreNot only is it a record store by day and music venue by night, T!T!T! has several delicious beans-n-rice bowls. As records go (vinyl records, that is), there seem to be a couple of categories: the novelty vintage stuff and the semi-underground '80s and '90s stuff. Even cooler (in my view), they have some 8-track cartridges, severalcassettes, and a bunch of jazz CDs, too. This last time, I was there to see Cody Nonier and the band "toyboat toyboat toyboat"; both were awesome though musically totally different from one another. Cody is a very expressive singer with an amazing deep voice and some serious...
Read moreI have been a couple of times to listen to a friend's band. Both times there have been issues with getting the monitors and/or speakers to work. It seems tough on the bar staff who are trying to get people their beer and their food and run the sound board. There are only a few beer selections but it's a good variety of local beers. The food menu is limited but they aren't really a restaurant, so I wouldn't expect any different. There is definitely a strong hipster feel to the place. The staff and customers all have matching ironic outfits and...
