I've popped in here for a few years. My husband had a major heart attack and goes to rehab there. I politely asked a question if the woman knows the sodium content of the gyros meat. She didn't know and that was fine with me I will google it. I asked how many ounces is served. I feel like nutritional content questions should be seen as normal in a hospital.
She was extremely irritated by my two questions. She was rude, hostile, and short tempered despite me maintaining politeness. I let it slide because I thought it was just her personality, maybe cultural difference, maybe she was having a bad day. I still tipped because I try to treat people right. However, she was immediately friendly and warm to the next four customers after me. I was honestly shocked in the difference of treatment they received compared to mine.
I have no idea why she singled me out to be her emotional punching bag. My family won't spend another dollar there.
I have never wrote a bad review before...
Read moreThe menu creator and owner of this place has no knowledge or pride in his food. Gyro (Greek) shawarma (Lebanese) like myself. I’m a cook I’ve worked catering Turkish and Saudi’s airlines. I also worked for a Greek restaurant and catered many Greek menus. The portions are tiny. The prices are not cohesive with the portions, but look good on the menu. When I addressed the difference between Shawarma and gyro with the owner himself he told me that every single meat is marinated in the exact same marinade and there’s no difference between Shawarma flavors and gyro flavors. If you’re gonna promote a menu, you should know the difference in spice that set the items apart. I would be ashamed and frankly embarrassed to serve this one...
Read moreMall 205 isn't what it used to be, especially for folks like me who spent my most formative years wandering the shops, picking up 90210 and NKOTB posters and Hypercolor T-shirts. But if you're looking for a quick bite after a good workout at The 24 or if you need to pick something up for dinner after a quick stop at Target or Home Depot, you must hit Ozzie's. The pocket sandwiches and gyros are delicious and hearty. I loved the falafel pocket - not dry, like falafel can be. It's also affordable. Support this local business. Maybe we can get some more shops back in the mall...
