Was visiting Portland for a concert, and this place was nearby! I didn't realize it was in a food cart pod/garden, but there was plenty of shaded (covered) and non shaded seating. My partner got the shio ramen, and I got the gyoza obento. The ramen was amazing! Salty and flavorful broth, noodles were perfect, and the chashu was thin and super tender. And the egg... *chefs kiss* it was still a little runny on the inside. The gyoza was crispy and hot and juicy on the inside. The dressing for the salad was super good, and the gyoza sauce was soaked into the rice just enough. It was super tasty!

The consistency and authenticity that Kyle provides is why this place is so good. My all time favorite is the Tan Tan, but the Shoyu with yuzu oil is also tied for first. The eggs are always perfect! Pro tip: make sure to ask if he’s got the thicker noodles:) Come support the local joint where the owner is also the only employee, he does everything himself!

This place is exceptional. I have tried and enjoyed both the Shio and Shoyu (pictured) ramen. Nice chew to the noodles, high quality chasu. The sitting area located in the street is well protected from the elements and has individual heaters at each table. A real game changer!

Very high quality. I got a bowl one night, walked it home and noticed how perfect the egg was. After my first bite, the noodles were just as if not more perfect. Once I really mixed every thing proper, I noticed how the char on the chashu pork adds to the flavor of the already delicious broth. I’ve been recommending this spot to all of my friends since. Get some gyoza and extra chashu like I...
