My one regret is that I only discovered this place 3 weeks into my 5+ weeks stay in Portland which was a short 5 minute walk from where I lived. Marty the owner rescued me by fixing my hiking pole used as a walking aid post knee surgery during the historic snow back in late February while he was out shoveling snow. Ended up bringing my work to get done there at least 3-4 times weekly for the remaining time in Portland and Marty + his baristas were all fabulous. The atmosphere was conducive for working and there are a couple of cafe regulars- David, Jaime and another professor who would be at their same spots on the long table working. Positive vibes all around and connections made too. Could not recommend this place even more to anyone looking for a regular spot to remote work and the staff are always chirpy. Marty if you're seeing this, love from 12,000+ miles away in Singapore!

This coffee shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful chandeliers that add a touch of charm. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which enhances the overall experience. They offer a great variety of coffee, and I decided to try the honey lavender latte. While it wasn’t as flavorful as I’d hoped and leaned a bit too sweet for my taste, their pastry selection is impressive, featuring cookies, bars, muffins, and even cold sandwiches. I did notice that the tables and floors were a bit dirty, and the table I sat at was a little wobbly, which can be improved. Additionally, you’ll need to find street parking, which costs about two dollars per hour, so keep that in mind. Despite these minor inconveniences, it’s still a nice spot to relax and enjoy a coffee, and I’d be happy to return to try more items from the menu.

Cozy and vibrant coffee shop in NW Slabtown area. Really enjoy coming here to grab a cup of coffee and pastry on a slow morning on one of their comfy couches. Also a great place with reliable wifi if you want to sit and work for a couple of hours. The place ebbs and flows in terms of business, so be prepared to move around to snag a good seat at any given point in the mornings. The coffee is delicious and consistent! Drip coffee is great and refills are $1 per cup. Pastries have a homemade essence and always good portions. They also have a walk up window for coffee on the go! Unique, friendly neighborhood coffee shop that keeps your cup filled!

This place is very nicely decorated, I used to love this place until recently -- The gentlemen behind the counter's actions were borderline rude. No greetings, no smile, I did not feel welcomed. He then walked to the room across the counter to grab something, as my table was right by the door, he stared at my laptop screen a little too long, almost 15 seconds, where I had personal email stuff open (without noticing that I can see him across the room where I was waiting for my food to be heated up, which was perhaps forgotten as it took 10-15 minutes to heat up) Also I was never asked if I needed that heated up, when I had to politely ask if they can please heat it up - I felt like he was doing me a favor from how he acted as he turned right back to go to the microwave to heat it up without saying a word besides a robotic "here or to go?"

There was a younger lady working there same day, who also needed to pass by the table to enter the second room (again this table I was sitting was kinda blocking the entrance, the way it was placed). I had to get up and wait for her to close the door, to sit back on my seat. Again, no word, nothing, very empty and ignorant behaviors.

When there are so many other options, I am not sure if I will go back here again, unless there is better customer service. We all have coffee and food at home, if we go to a place it is for a smile and a piece of genuine...

If I could do zero stars I would. I have come into Dragonfly on 2 different occasions over the last 4 months and both times I have seen cockroaches!! The first time it was in the bathroom and I left immediately without even ordering a drink. The second time I came in to meet a friend and got a latte and saw another cockroach crawling on the counter near where you pick up a drink sleeve. My latte tasted so unbelievably burnt it was awful. I heard a new person getting trained by a man I assume is the boss and I overheard him tell the new employee they can use shots outside of the shot window??? No wonder the coffee tastes so bad if you have no quality standards. I see the owner replying to reviews of people who don’t like the coffee condescendingly saying that it’s because they use a dark roast, but I’ve had dark roast espresso before that actually tastes good. The whole shop just feels kind of dirty. A new cafe opened across the street called Lei Brilla and their sandwiches and salads are made fresh to order and their coffee actually tastes good with homemade syrups!! I can’t believe Dragonfly has passed a health inspection knowing there’s cockroaches crawling around. Won’t catch me...

The coffee of unknown origin, represents a digestible french roast, not too burnt but carbon still present. The decore reminiscent of pottery barn, with some dragonfly figurines thrown into the mix. The overall feel of the place is a rather kitsch "we're not Starbucks" but still a palatable enough to take your kids. It reminds me of the suburb coffee shop push following the introduction of coffee that isn't from a pre-ground tub. The baked goods look fresh enough, and there is a display case offering sandwiches and to go. I was openly stared at by at least two other customers, leading to me wonder if they haven't seen a man with a beard who hasn't asked them for their change in this part of town in quite some time. Unfortunately I haven't tried any espresso, but I'm sure it would be rather average. I didn't hear any over aeration of the milk so dairy drinks are probably fine. At least part of the staff was very friendly and smiled as he served coffee. I went around 11am on a Saturday, it seems decently crowed, but hasn't been much change-over of the four premade coffee vessels. Pricing was decent. And they have a walk up window, which was ...
