Wow, no one has been able to touch Coffee First Saigon Grill's banh mi until now! If you love these sandwiches, you'll love this place. Also had their coffee- perfection, and none of that weird additive stuff I've had from some other places. Also tried their from scratch passionfruit soda- YUM! and their FS Bloody Mary. Didn't expect to like it but it was amazing! Their shrimp chips also look and taste homemade, I didnt ask but they're completely different in a good way from all the others I've tried. Pho was on point...best quality of meat I've ever had in a bowl of pho. We are so excited to have a great Vietnamese spot on the east side! (We live on the west side and have another face there but are always exploring the east when we are out). The only thing that was not my fave was the bench seat..a little small and unpaded- not most comfortable for a larger sized person, and the tables are bolted down so it's a bit of a squeeze to get in and out. But I'm nit-picking, it's a really cute, clean space and we REALLY loved the food...

I came to this establishment on a Tuesday evening during the Portland Wing Week. The place was decently crowded and there were many other customers who had come to try the $8 wings. I am not a huge fan of dry rub wings and was a little skeptical while going in.
The wings were the best dry-rub wings I have ever had. The Asian spice mix was the right mix of spicy and tangy. The wings were perfectly crisp and of optimal size. After one plate of 6 wings I was quite full, but it definitely left me wanting for more.
The place was buzzing with all sorts of people (Portland wing week definitely had a role to play in it). The table next to me was occupied by a bunch of Instagram foodies/reviewers and they seemed to also enjoy the wings.
Overall, loved the vibe of the place. Would definitely come again to try other...
Read moreI love this place so much and I've been there thrice. Twice for pickup and once for drinks. The first time I had the pleasure was when I delivered an order for Postmates from there and it smelled sooooo good, I knew I would try it out. And I did. I had ordered the "Chinese sausage & eggs banh mi" and the "Thit Kho" from Postmates ALL THE TIME. And when I say all the time, I mean there was a week where I ordered it daily. There was a time where they were out of the Chinese sausage and I scoured Portland to find an alternative option...I did not find an equal. And don't get me started on the Thit Kho. That is my all-time favorite dish and they are the only place I know that does it right. Sadly I have moved from Portland but I will say when I return, I will satiate my need for proper Thit Kho and a breakfast...
