It was our first time visiting Portland and we were like craving for Pakistani/Indian authentic desi food… we just googled the places and picked this place randomly… and to our surprise the taste was sooooo good…. First and foremost… the service of the staff was amazing… specially the guy on the counter (with eye glasses, apologies i forgot his name) was so welcoming and guided us through the menu and with chef’s special… we ordered daal tadka and rajistani chicken… with plain naan and garlic naan… and both are so amazingly delicious, chicken was so juicy and tender with a nice blend of spices… and last but not the least, thanks to the chef who made a customized karak tea as per our request (authentic Pakistani Dhaba style driver chai)… we loved everything we ate… the ambiance was also good… We were so amazed to had the delicious food thay we went again on the very next day to try some other dishes… and this time we tried chana masala and chicken karahi… and again… we are amazed by the taste and texture and balanced spices specially jn chana masala, chicken karahi was also good… so overall i will rate my experience 9/10… unfortunately I was not able to take pictures on the first dinner since we were super hungry… but was able to click some on the 2nd dinner… attaching here for reference… guys do try this place….

Read moreSeemed like a nice place, but my experience wasn't that great. I started off by trying to ask a question about one of the curry dishes, but this seemed to confuse the waitress. She thought I was trying to order that dish. After some struggle to communicate, I finally got an answer to my question and placed the order.
The Karahi Chicken curry dish I ended up getting was spicy, like I asked for, but didn't have any complexity or interesting flavors. I had it with chicken, but the chicken itself was extremely bland. It had absolutely no taste. It could have been tofu cubes. The cook probably just threw it in the curry sauce, waited a few seconds, then called it done.
The meal consisted mostly of curry sauce, with a little bit of rice and a few cubes of chicken. I finished the rice and chicken, but still had a large amount of sauce left over. Seemed poorly balanced and it wasn't a good value for $20.
It wasn't a horrible experience, but I've had far better Indian food. Maybe their other...
Read moreThe server didn’t like what i wanted to order and was very very pushy about making me order other items instead. He was shockingly bad as a server, arguing with me that i would not like what i ordered & insisting i order other specific dishes. I did not like the food he made me get. He kept trying to give me free dessert but not to make me the food i originally wanted or to remove the food i did not like from my bill. my companion said their food was pretty good, i did not try it He also did not present the bill for me to review before payment. When i demanded to see the itemized bill, it was incorrect. I was being over charged. He admitted it and fixed it, but was not apologetic. Additionally, we were very rushed to order, despite being the only table and he never took a drink order. And the garlic/chz naan we ordered did not have any cheese whatsoever, despite costing 2xs what the regular garlic naan cost. I will be sure to tell all of my clients in the neighborhood about my experience as often...
