The worst overall dining experience that I have ever had. A great candidate for Kitchen nightmares. I ordered a combination plate for $17. It was a small plate with tiny deep fried wonton and 2 tiny overcrispy deep fried spring rolls. When the food came out I was confused, is this what I ordered? We tried them and were disgusted. I could only imagine how long these poor quality wontons had been sitting in an open bag in the freezer covered in frost before being deep fried to a hard crunchy inedible bite. I told the server that they were bad and returned them. The "chef" came over and angrily asked what the problem was. I explained that they were overcooked and not what I thought I was ordering. He said that we would have to pay for half of it since we tried it. He never offered to bring anything else. As we shared an $18 pathetic bowl over vermicelli noodles with lettuce, he paced back and forth giving us dirty looks and angrily walking outside to smoke. I finally went up to pay and he charged me for the food that I didn't eat. He then followed me outside and glared at me as I drove away while hepuffed angrily on his vape pen. We both got...
Read moreI guess I should have turned around and walked out as soon as we saw how dirty and smelly it was inside... My husband and I attempted to get takeout pho. We get home and open up the bag to realize they send us home with RAW MEAT!! Our beef "steak" for our pho was completely raw and bloody, sitting on top of the rice noodles. It hadn't been cooked in the slightest. It looks like this is just their protocol for to-go pho orders...? Regardless, I am pregnant and can't have ANY raw meats, so after paying to get freaking takeout to avoid cooking, we had to COOK our meat. I'm certain this must be some sort of health code violation... even when you get sushi there are warnings everywhere about the raw meat consumption. Also, I should mention this place was expensive, at about $10 each. Pho places we usually go to run at around 6-$8. Save yourself, do NOT go to this crappy pho...
Read moreWe recently moved to NoPo and wanted to try some local fare. Whomever provided 5-star reviews are flat out lying. I ordered the “bbq chicken” vermicelli bowl. It was 5 flat pieces of chicken that were so dry and flavorless , I would be embarrassed to serve them. Other than the pasta, it was a very small handful of what appeared to be bagged salad. No other vegetables. No peanuts. The fish sauce was diluted. They’re getting 2 stars instead of 1 for the food because the egg rolls were crispy. But they served the tiniest amount of dipping sauce I’ve ever seen.
But maybe the biggest travesty was the awful music which was too loud, and interrupted every 5 min with some terrible commercial—while accompanied by the whistling server who almost gets the notes correct.
And it wasn’t inexpensive either. Despite what shows on the google “menu” page, these bowls were close...
