I have been attending PCC for quite some time, and unfortunately, my experience with their support staff has been consistently disappointing. Communication is poor, mental health support is virtually non-existent, and there seems to be a troubling culture protecting incompetent staff who mistreat students. Students working for the college are severely underpaid, even as tuition costs rise — despite many classes being online or self-led.
PCC has a documented pattern of removing negative student reviews. I am replacing mine here.
From the beginning, my experience at PCC has been marked by administrative incompetence. When I first attempted to enroll, my inquiries were ignored for several terms. Later, when updating my degree and seeking guidance from advisors, I was passed between departments and incorrectly listed under the wrong major more than seven times.
While employed by PCC, I worked for the CLEAR Clinic. The clinic was widely used by PCC for positive press, but it never received adequate financial or institutional support. Ultimately, the clinic was dismantled due to PCC’s lack of support, and as a result, I lost my job and was reassigned to a less stable environment. There, I experienced harassment, bullying from staff and students, and stalking. Despite following all appropriate reporting channels, my concerns were dismissed or ignored for weeks.
Throughout my time at PCC, I observed a consistent pattern of mismanagement: student funds mishandled, staff abusing authority, and a culture that tolerates bullying and harassment while prioritizing public image over resolving actual issues.
Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend PCC as a school to attend.
Overall, PCC needs to seriously rethink how it supports and values its...
Read moreThis review is not for my experience at PCC, which for the most part has been quite good. I've liked my professors, and have learned a lot over the last year. This review is for a recent experience I had with an advisor. I reached out to advising to discuss dropping out for the winter term because I contracted covid and homework was not something I could even fathom doing, and this was before my symptoms got as bad as they are currently. The advisor I spoke with, Leopold Hauser, made a great effort to tell me about how he was sick with covid and it just wasn't that bad blah blah blah blah. Basically giving me a huge middle finger in the face of what is now the sickest I've been in years. The fact that this man is advising people when he contains such little empathy is beyond me. If everyone at this school acted like Mr Hauser then this place would be out...
Read moreI love PCC. All of the students and professors have given me the opportunity to develop my skills and help me grow. I owe a huge thanks to PCC - Cascade for being a great school and providing recourses to help me be successful. I like the Cascade campus because even though it is not the nicest campus, it still provides quality education, a great learning environment, and a place for you to learn about you and the skills you may never knew you had. I haven't taken classes at any other campus except I have taken a couple proctor exams at Sylvania. I admit that campus is nicer to look at, but my mom always told me to never judge a book by its cover so it is unfair for me to comment more about that. Thanks...
