08/12/2017 Update Not quite the same as it was before. It had been over a year since I had tried eating here and this go-around I was really disappointed. When I arrived there were only about 6 people waiting for their orders, all 6 stated they had been waited on. So I stood in front of the window for about 10 minutes waiting to have my order taken. Inside two people were preparing food and one was playing on her phone. After ten minutes of waiting I gave up. As I walked to my car I saw one of the people preparing the footers was barehanding the dog into the bun (no gloves). I think I'll take a pass from eating here in the future.

This is a well-visited tourist attraction as you will be able to tell from the length of the line!

This small operation is a place all locals invite their out-of-town friends and family to stop for a "footer" and shake. I prefer the Mint Chocolate Chip shake if anyone's buying.

Prices are reasonable and the wait is bearable if for nothing more than to say that...

always a 50/50 on if youll actually get something for the price listed, always updating prices but not actually. the older staff are always kind but the 30 or younger staff seemingly charge the highest price they can paid 4 dollars for two cones when sign said 1.50 for the size wanted and didnt even get the cone filled just slapped ontop of a cup full of ice cream by the younger women there who clearly dont care about the service theyre providing. (not to mention the younger women will either make a milkshake then claim you wanted a cupped cone and not even charge correctly or be willing to correct/own up to their mistake.)

My husband and I have been coming here for years. But I guess we haven’t come this late in the evening before. It is the best food around, especially for the Chris and we appreciate it so much. Versus night shift is a totally different situation. I sat in the car and watched my husband stand patiently, hoping somewhat acknowledge that he standing in front of the window, and I am watching them talk, sleep, look at him and look back at the floor Over and over.
