My actual score would be an 1 under normal situations but as they have only been open 3 days or so so I’ll give them a first week pass and not lower their rating. My experience was a disaster from the start to finish. The first two issues are corporates fault so I won’t penalize them for them but started the whole experience off sour. First issue The drive through rapid pickup option was missing so I selected general rapid pickup. Second issue was the Apple Pay and credit card options didn’t work. The only method of payment was PayPal in the app.I am sure this was a temporary glitch but for a consumer frustrating. The next issues are the stores. My order was supposed to be ready at 9:41 but it wasn’t completed until 10:00. Once I got the confirmation it was ready I went to the rapid pickup drive through area as I thought it would be more convenient and apparently you have to select drive through in the app for that. The girl at the window was very rude and when I told her I was rapid pickup. I would have gone inside if knew that was my only option. There are no signs anywhere in the rapid pickup drive through area saying if you don’t select rapid pickup in the app you can’t get your order. Nonetheless she reluctantly got it for me. We ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 bakery items which were checked off on the receipt as being verified they were in the bag. Luckily we looked before we went home as the bakery items were missing. Why check it off that you verified it’s in the bag and seal it if it’s not in the bag. The rapid pickup was now over 30 mins of time. As I was going back inside to get them the manager I assume realized they forgot the items and we met at the door as I was coming in to complain.No apologies for waiting 30 mins or that we messed up your order. This is a brand new Panera bread location so everything is tidy and sparkling clean. Simply place your order at the counter or use the touch screen monitor that is located not far from the entrance. You can be notified when your food is ready by a beeper or a phone text. There is a variety of sandwiches, soups, breads, bagels, pizza, drinks, cookies and desserts to choose from. My daughter ordered soup in a bread bowl and I ordered a soup and sandwich, to dine-in. We also ordered a small flat bread pizza to bring home and a bear claw for dessert. When placing the order on the touch screen monitor, my daughter was impressed that the menu had allergen alert options. You place a check mark on the kind of food allergy you have and the menu will portray the ingredients of the item you are ordering. If you decide you want the item and leave it checked, the staff will be alerted of your food allergy and it will be written on your pick-up receipt. Once ordered, it didn't take long to receive a text that our food was ready. My daughter's food was carefully wrapped separately due to her food allergy which showed us that they take food allergens serious and that's a plus!
