Golden Lion Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Poulsbo

I used to Love this restaurant for lunch. Went tonight n NEVER will return. Noticed funny pungent smell when food was served noticed fried rice looked different. I inspected my rice n noticed what looked like BAD DISCOLORED BBQ PORK .Instead of the bright red outside n light colored meat we got what appeared to be hard very grey meat n the outside could be compared to almost black. I showed the waitress she said its bbq pork some part are dark. Not that Damn dark sorry but, I stopped eating n paid the $50 bill which I feel is poor service even leaving a tip but, since I've returned home we will just say both me n my husband have been stuck on our comodes!! I know that's TMI but I fear food poisoning may be coming. Inspect ur food if ur gonna chance this place. I won't ever again. Also service was not pleasant at all. I fealt like I was being lead to the gilatean no smile, no can I get u something other than watered down tea. but, we did get a thank you when we paid the bill. Lol smh. Yesterday evening I picked up BBQ pork fried rice and vegetable chow mein to go. I hadn't been there in years, but decided to try it again now that I live closer. The fried rice was just unflavored and unseasoned white rice with bits of BBQ meat throughout; there wasn't anything else added that you would typically find in fried rice like scrambled egg, etc. As I was eating the chow mein, there was a black hair in my food! It wasn't mine because I have gray hair! Some of the vegetables in it tasted canned, e.g., baby corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms. I was so very disappointed and will not order food from them ever again. I am going to learn how to make those dishes instead - the right way!! When I made a courtesy call to the restaurant this morning to let them know of the problems, the woman asked if I still had the food; I said yes. I kept it in case they wanted to see what was given to me. She asked if I would like to get a replacement; I said no, but I appreciate the gesture. The food is now in...

I must say I used to really enjoy my food when I ordered, but the last couple times I’ve ordered and I usually order the same thing shrimp fried rice and almond fried chicken. The fried rice has shrimp in it, but it had a little bit of burnt egg and that’s about it. Nothing else. The chicken was OK. They have changed their gravy for almond chicken as well, which I really didn’t care for. I hope they change their menu back to what it was a couple years ago. It was much better. I hope that them, knowing that the food isn’t up to what it used to be, maybe they can change back. I can’t be the only one that thinks this, anyways best wishes to y’all I hope things improve.
