Pho Kim Chi — Restaurant in Poulsbo

This place is great! My new favorite place to go. The good: Overall, amazing food! Their sauces are flavorful, meat is tender, veggies are fresh, and everything is perfectly cooked!! The ambiance is nice, restaurant is clean, interior is new and cozy. Restaurant is big and you aren't crammed next to the neighboring table, lots of privacy. Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, quick to bring drinks, and they don't bug you during your meal. The perfect level of service. Food has come quick every time I've eaten there. The bathrooms are new and clean. Seriously, there entrees are amazing! There is a huge variety. Not just Vietnamese, but there is Teriyaki, Thai, and other Asian-inspired dishes. My favorite is the Vietnamese Spicy Noodles! It came with tender beef and fresh, perfectly cooked veggies (carrot, asparagus, mushroom, onion, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli), and handmade wide rice noodles all cooked in the perfect sweet and spicy sauce. Omg!

The bad: Their Pho is not my favorite. But it was still good. ug you...

This was our first time here. We were looking for another VN restaurant closer than Tacoma. We took a chance after searching the internet. It was absolutely great. Restaurant was very clean, service fast and polite. Now the food. We both were hungry for a dish called "bun" (cold noodle salad) with grilled pork and eggroll pieces. It was very fresh, eggrolls were large and flavourful, the amount of meat was overwhelming. The nuoc mam "fish sauce dressing" was seasoned perfectly. The prices were in line with other restaurants in the area and cheaper when size of serving is considered. I have lived in Vietnam. My wife and I prefer VN food and have tried it all over the world. If this salad was a typical indication of the food quality at Pho Kim Chi, I am sure our 40 mile drive will be...

Not very impressed. I just stopped in for pho. The service was pleasant and quick at first. However, I asked for extra bean sprouts and 1/2 the noodles, but I received the normal amount of both. It was a simple request that should have been done. The broth was a bit salty for my taste. Overall it was fine, but not much more.

My biggest problem was when I asked to take the rest with me to go. I was brought a soup container and expected to safely dump hot soup from a large bowl into a small plastic container. One, it's completely unsafe! Second, that's not customer service! How hard is it to take the bowl back to the kitchen and do it there where there isn't a risk of spilling or splashing on the customer or any others...
