Overall Rating: 3/5 (5.5 of 10) I heard many good things about this spot, so we drove out from Bremerton to give it a shot. They have a very large menu with tons of variety and options. We were seated promptly and had water and menus also promptly. We decided on a handful of things to try: Gyoza, Shumai, Inari Bomb (Eel), I got Japchae and my partner got a tofu seafood soup and we got the Mori Special Roll. The food came out very quickly, maybe 5-10 minutes max. We started with apps. Gyoza was good, standard nothing to scream about. Inari honestly was the best thing we ate of the night, very good, lots of flavor. The Shumai isn't not my favorite, but I dont like Shumai, partner said it was meh. Needed flavor, tasted prepackaged. Onto the mains, partner loved his Tofu Seafood soup, good flavor, good spice, he cleaned the whole stone bowl. Unfortunately my main didn't go to plan, which to some degree is my fault, I ordered something I've never had before, because it looked good on the menu. The japchae (to my assumption) is normally served cold. Well mine came out scalding hot, it was rather hard to eat, I asked my partner if it supposed to be hot and hard to eat. He said no. He tried it and concluded because the noodles are so hot, they dont break easily when you chew, and then they are hot so you have a mouth full of noodles that are hot and wont break. To top that off, I found a hair in my food, I brushed it off and thought nothing of it. Accidents happen, the chicken in my japchae was wonderful so I kept eating that, until I found a 2nd hair. At this point I pushed the food away, our server came around and asked if I wanted a box, I politely told her no and showed her the hair, she profusely apologized and asked if id like anything else. I said no, she gave us a credit for the whole entree. She was great and felt awful, I appreciated that. Our total after that entree being removed was about $65. Not to bad for everything we got. I would come back, to try Teriyaki or their bentos. Almost forgot to add, we did get a sushi roll! That was good, had cream cheese which my partner doesnt mind, not my favorite but the seared salmon...

This place is quaint and quiet. Since this restaurant is geographically hidden by being somewhat tucked into a Poulsbo neighborhood this restaurant is a great find. Staff is friendly, food is yummy, priced are affordable, covid safety guidelines, and options for indoor and outdoor dining. Even have a electronic Covid-19 temperature checker at the front door - made me feel safer!
Waitress is kind, friendly, patient, and helpful. They do not rush you even if they are close to closing time (please try to eat, pay and leave before closing time - they want to go home too 😉😁😉)
The food is spot on! The menu offers entrees ranging from sushi, to ramen, to bim bim bop, to bentos and more! There are a bunch of options for the hungry eater who wants a little bit of eveything. The presentation of the food entrees is absolutely fabulous! The time the chefs takes to garnish and decorate your plate makes you feel like you are eating at a much more expensive type restaurant. This establishment offers traditional Asian alcoholic beverages and American alcoholic beverages (minus hard liquor).
Seating options vary from classic indoor dining and gazebo picnic style dining. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are great and you can admire how much management really invested thought and energy into making their customers happy regardless if they are dining inside or outside.
Overall, if you are looking for a local Asian restaurant with plenty of food options, friend staff, and a variety of seating options, Mori Sushi and Bento is the...
Read moreIt pains me to write this review because we have dined here multiple times in the past and always received decent customer service.
My fiancé, our baby, myself and some dear friends of ours dined here tonight. They close at 9pm, we arrived at 8:05. By 8:50 our server came up to us to tell us that the kitchen would be closing in five minutes. Ok cool no problem. At this point we are all just about done. 9:00 on the dot they turn the music off and the owner/manager (I think) comes over and just starts clearing our drinks and plates. Meanwhile someone else is cleaning the floor with enough bleach to kill a horse. Mind you, we’ve got our 8 month old baby there and are basically being gassed out of the place.
I get it, I really do. You are closed. You want to go home. We were all respectful… Even while being shoved out the door with bleach.
I’m shocked. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for a long time. There are better ways to politely hurry paying customers out of your restaurant. I’m moving as fast as I can getting my things together and my baby in her car seat. If you don’t want people in there past 9pm, might I suggest closing your dining room earlier? This all made me feel like we were a burden. At this time I do not think we will...
