When I found out that Harney’s was opening a new location, I had to visit after being a regular at the old town location. I hate to say that this location is very disappointing and the reason being having witnessed how the manager treats people. I don’t care how good my food was, what matters to me is respect, courtesy and general decency for people which are qualities this man obviously lacks. It was disgusting to have seen and heard his opinions about “fat people.” Seems like he really can’t stand those with some weight on them because he made a point not to hire potential employees. He ruined my experience at this new location and ruined my appetite so much that I would rather throw my food away. Read moreHave always loved their other locations, and now thrilled to have Harney closer to home in Poway. Have eaten here several times since they opened and have always had a good experience. Service is always friendly and prompt. Rogelio is always serving delicious sushi, and willing to recommend what is freshest for that day. Recently enjoyed hamachi and toro sashimi which was delicious; fresh and large generous portion. They have good beer and sake options, soju cocktails. Sushi rolls are innovative and tasty. There are some unique appetizer options, such as the stuffed mushrooms, and plenty of entree options to choose from if sushi isn't your thing. They have some good options for kids too! This is the experience I hope for when I go out for sushi, and without question Harney is the best...

My waitress asked if I needed anything else. She noticed a customer had the sun in his eyes and offered to reseat him. I would definitely come back to try the happy hour...
