Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Prescott Valley

It's really too bad this is the only BWW in the area, because the service and food preparation are extremely subpar.

I've been 3 times, on three different days, and regardless of how busy they are, the service is horrible.

My first trip was on a Sunday and the bartender kept disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time, while people were waiting for drinks. Moreover, there was a female manager or district manager or something who kept pulling the bartender away to chat for 10-15 minutes at a time, while again, people were waiting for food and drinks.

I noticed this happening on days when they weren't busy as well. An older male manager kept having sidebar discussions while drinks are sitting empty.

They need to address whoever handles the food expo, because I repeatedly had food that was supposed to be hot, come out cold. Moreover, I had to send chili queso dip back on two separate occasions because it was cold, or completely missing the chili part.

Also, one of the times I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, the wrap was basically more tortilla than fillings...the worst wrap I've ever had from a BWW.

The straw that broke the camels back was my last trip where I asked the bartender when they had drink specials. It was 2:45 and she said happy hour started at 3, so I told her I'd wait for my drink order. At 3, I asked of the margaritas were on special, to which she replied in the affirmative. She then showed me a menu that had a mango margarita and a regular and she asked which I wanted. I asked if they were both on special, which she again replied yes. However, after going over to her computer, she came back and said the mango margaritas wasnt on special. I said, but the regular is, right? To which she again replied in the affirmative.

When I got my bill, my margaritas were not discounted and the manager basically told me to go fly a kite when I explained the discrepancy. Why would I say I wanted to wait for the drink specials if I didn't want to order a drink special? I usually like to leave a 20-25% tip because I've worked in the industry, but you need to also own your mistakes.

I'm a huge fan of the BWW brand, so it's unfortunate that this location thinks they can provide sub-standard food and service because they're the only shop in town.

My friends and I ordered take out but decided to sit down and order drinks and eat there. We were placed at a table and no waitress came to order our drinks. As we were waiting we realized our order was messed up and, as two of us were gluten free, we couldn’t eat. We waited about fifteen minutes for a waitress before flagging someone down. She then promised she would be back with our drinks soon and also talk to the manager about fixing our order. We waited forty minutes before she came back and asked if the manager had come to talk to us yet. We told her no and she said that she’d go talk to them again and be back with our drinks soon. We waited another twenty minutes before she came back again, with our drinks, and she said she had talked to three different managers and none of them “wanted to come talk to us” so she addressed the problem by taking the wrong order back with our receipt and they remade our order. It was another twenty minutes before they brought us the correct order. They also never refilled our drinks or checked in on us. We didn’t see the waitress again after she took our receipt back to the kitchen. When we were ready to leave no one brought us the check so we went to the counter and the young lady working there very rudely told us that we needed to talk to our waitress. We calmly told her that we weren’t assigned a waitress and that the woman that helped us disappeared twenty minutes ago. The lady working the register told us again that we needed to wait for someone to bring us the check, and we calmly asked if we could just pay and leave, as we had already been waiting for a check for twenty minutes. She finally agreed and we paid and left. All in all, our order was messed up, we waited an hour for our drinks, the service was horrible, and we were there for two hours before we actually got our food. We moved to Prescott Valley in 2007 after leaving Houston, Texas where we not only frequented Buffalo Wild Wings, my husband and I were in upper management for multiple Buffalo Wild Wings locations for over a decade. Although I am loyal to the brand itself, the Prescott Valley location has been a constant disappointment since the first visit 12 years ago. Every time we frequent this location, we constantly ask ourselves why we keep coming back. The truth is, I'm always hoping that maybe each visit will be better than the last. It never is. The sad part is that I will continue to frequent this location because of my history with BWW and the fact that it's the only place in town that we can watch all of our favorite sports (when the jukebox is not playing over the NFL games). Some of the staff do seem to actually care about their guest service, others shouldn't be assigned high volume sections until they can master the basics. The last time we visited, which was on 9-8, I don't think our server ever actually brought any food or drinks to our table during our entire stay. Members from our table were actually just going to the bar to order their own drinks rather than wait for our server to make an appearance. We ordered food and by the time it arrived, we had forgotten what we even ordered. In all reality it probably took over 40 mins for an appetizer to arrive. Terrible. Just like usual. We have seen at least three General Managers come through this location, all of which seem overwhelmed and under staffed. The kitchen is seemingly worse than the front of the house. If you have an opportunity to go elsewhere, I recommend doing so. However, if you don't care about long ticket times, warm beers, lack of attention to detail and only seeing your server once an hour, this is the place for you.
