Such a conflicting experience. Some really good and some pretty disappointing.
GOOD: No wait at all (went for lunch), sat right away. Got my drink right away, and when I ordered my food, it came out quickly and very hot. Everything tasted phenomenal, honestly. Absolutely hit the craving for good Chinese food I had.
BAD: Service was kind of bland. I really don't want to be too negative about this, as I understand the culture differences and that the workers weren't fluent in English. But something about their body language was just "short and abrupt" for lack of better term. While I was looking over the menu, the lady was standing about 5 feet away the whole time and asked "ready?" a couple of times. Also, was never offered a refill on my drink.
Also, I found the food portions to be kind of odd. The "egg rolls" I ordered were basic, small spring rolls and were $3. Don't get me wrong, I liked them, but seemed odd. Then when my entree came out, the meat was a very large portion. Easily feed at least two with it. But it came with a small bowl of steamed rice that I easily finished. I'm not complaining about the meat portions, I have plenty left for leftovers and have a rice cooker so I'll just make more rice and have another delicious meal. But if it were me, I would sacrifice a small bit on the chicken and do a little more rice.
As for the food itself, I ordered the "House Spicy Chicken". It tasted great, but I really thought there was next to no spice. I enjoy a bit of a "burn", but this had no heat really, at least nothing like what I was expecting. Again, the flavor was absolutely on point, but no spice heat.
So yeah, a really conflicted review. No complaints at all about the flavor of the food. And nothing at all that would cause me to not want to go back. But definitely can't give it a full 5 stars because the experience...
Read moreWell it’s a Sunday. They close at 9,no problem! We get there at 8:10. No one is there except one other table. They immediately sat us and gave us water. They then asked if we were ready and we said we needed just a second and they said ok but we have to order soon because they are closing at 9. So we are being rushed already. The table that was there prior has gotten their bill and they are putting their money together and the guy comes back to try to cash them other and they say they are trying to count their money to will be just a second and they are told they had to Hurry because they were closing 😦. The people were very upset because they were being rushed again. We ordered and our food came really fast, I was impressed. Everyone’s food was hot and tasted good. The favor was there except for mine. I have never had general Tso chicken that tasted like that and I’m not sure if that was a good or Bad thing. Either I have never had it the way it is supposed to be or this was just totally the wrong flavor. WAIT!!!! Things get better!
Another couple shows up. Everyone that works there is upset and angrily getting them situation in their seat. The guy asks if they are ready because they are closing🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. They order a few minutes later. Ok ok here’s the end. We are eating, not even halfway done and they start vacuuming with what sounds like and industrial vacuum. We could not even talk. We could even hear each when we tried to talk scream. They should have took customers till 9 and then cleaned. It was soooooo bad and sooo rude. Now i am on the way home, its 8:57 and we left at 840. It’s not even 9. We will...
Read moreI've dined here twice, most recently on 5/15/15. The food was great. I had the Beef Chow Mein lunch special. The portions were very large, even for a lunch special which are usually smaller portions than dinner. I ended up bringing food home. The egg drop soup that they serve you, immediately as you sit down, was delicious! Their service is prompt and the facility is very neat and clean. The bathrooms were also nicely kept.
My one and only complaint is that both times I've gone...I've had my 4 year old son with me and they blatantly ignore him. My son is very outspoken and likes to order for himself and as the female server (both visits) took our drink order, my son kept saying, "excuse me...excuse meeee...I'd like chocolate milk please" and she'd just totally walk off and I'd have to call her back to take my sons drink order. She didn't even ask ME , "what would your son like to drink"...no, they both just walked off ignoring my son. They seriously acted as if he wasn't even there. I think it's very rude not to acknowledge children.
Also...FAIR WARNING:
Beware of asking for an extra plate to share your food with someone. They charge you $1 just for an empty plate. I've never heard of this...and it's not a complaint...but I've never had to pay for a plate...
